Emily's POV:
Tomorrow I'll be turning 8 years old. Honestly this year I wasn't expecting to celebrate my birthday, you know with getting really sick and having the possibility of cancer. But I was very luck to just have some minor tearing in my stomach.
I'm all healed now and back in gymnastics. I've been working on my round off double back handspring for level 4. That will be the level I compete for this year.
Today Caleb and I are going to have what we call a lazy day. I'm going to go to his house and just play Minecraft, eat, and just talk about what's going on at the moment. I love having lazy days.
After I get dressed, brush my teeth, and brush my hair and start walking to Caleb's house. I notice a moving truck 2 houses down from mine. It looks like a boy, my age, I might go and say hi to him later. Caleb might like him and we all could be friends!
Caleb's POV:
I see Emily walking down the street, I can't wait to see her. This year I have something really special planned for her birthday, It's going to be great. She's pretty upset about how Chris won't be here this year, but I'm hoping to make her happy even though Chris won't be right next to her. I believe he is watching over her.
Then I hear Emily knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" I screamed.
"Hey Caleb!" Emily said.
"Hey old lady."
I always tease her about being an old lady since she is older than me. Yeah only by a could of months, but I love doing it. Anything to make her smile.
The rest of the day all we do is play Minecraft, eat, and talk. Around 9 she went home. And that was when I started planing.
