Sunday afternoon - office parking garage.
Walking out the office building, I felt relieved. My phone buzzed in my pocket, 5 missed phone calls. Ehh ill answer them later.
I stop in starbucks, wait in New York's longest coffee line for a caramel ice coffee. I finally got to the counter.
"Hi, what can I getcha?" The older cashier said.
"Um caramel ice coffee please," hmm maybe I wanted something else like a muffin or cake pop. I saw the chocolate cake, awh man! I love chocolate.
"Make that two caramel ice coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, for the chocolate beauty here." Said the person behind me, I knew that voice. The deep seductive voice that make women exhale deeply. I really didn't want to turn around but I had to.
Flashing his beautiful smile, this tall dark skin man is looking down to me.
"Good afternoon Alisha. Long time, no see." He says to me. Business dressed as usual, suit with a tie. Italian dress shoes.
"Charles.." I can manage to get out of my throat. "I hope you're paying for this."
"You know I got bank woman, don't act like you forgot." He kinda sasses. He walks over to me and pecks me on the cheek, I turn my face. Such a gorgeous man can do so wrong to me.
"Two caramel ice coffee, and a slice of mudslide chocolate cake." The worker behind the counter said aloud.
"Right here, thanks." I said grabbing my coffee, cake and heading towards the door. I had to get away from the memories.
As I'm about to leave, I feel a strong grip on my arm.
'No, not again!' I think to myself. I turn around and look Charles dead in his face.
"If you don't let go of me, I will make the biggest scene of your life, you're going to WISH you never met me." I threatened. He smirks and tightens his grip.
"Ouch, let me go." Whimpering to him.
He refused.
"LET GO!" I said loudly, hitting him upside the head with my coffee, in the middle of Starbucks. Ice and coffee dripping down his suit, to his shoes, he let go and is angry. With the keys in my hand, I run to my car. Forget the cake, the coffee, and everything else. I didn't want to come across him again.
