Chapter 5

Sunday morning - 5:27am Alisha's apartment.

I hear Matt rustling around for his clothes.

"You leaving?" I said lightly. He looked over at me, got on the bed held my face.

"Yeah sweetheart, I know you want me to stay but I have to go." He said,

"Awe okay.." I sat up.

"C'mere girl!" He said hugging me around my waist, basically tackling me.

"Ahh I'm ticklish! MATT!!" Laughing uncontrollably. Him on top of me.

"Are you? I like a girl with some funny bones." He said continuing to tickle me.

"You're so corny. Staaaappppitt!"

"Hah alright," he whispered. I wrapped my arms around his neck, him resting his arms around my waist still and his body between my legs.

"I guess I should take you to the door." I said crawling out of this body contraption. He got off the bed and I grabbed my robe. We both made our way to the door.

"So I'll call you?" He said standing outside my door.

"Yeah, sounds good to me. Thank you for staying. I really appreciate it." I said with my arms crossed, leaning against my apartment door.

"No problem. I had fun, I think I should go though, I still have to stop at home and grab my stuff." He said.

"Hah okay. Bye." We hugged.

"Bye beautiful." Hugging me back, swear it felt like the longest and sweetest hug ever. Eventually we had to let go.

I went inside and closed the door. Lock the joint and was in my way upstairs. I heard a knock..

"The heck?!" I said to myself. I tiptoed to the door, peeped through the hole just to see Matt standing they scratching his head. I open the door.

"Aren't you going to be late? I don't want to be the reason why you're-" he pulled me into him by my waist, kissing me passionately. If I wasn't a virgin, only god would know what I'd do! When we finally stopped lip locking I was able to finish my sentence. "on the um.. the bench."

"I'll be alright. But Alisha, listen to me. That fire, that drive you have, don't let it die down. That fight you have in you, don't stop. I love that about you. How you can be so real and straight up with everything you do."

I nodded, "okay, I won't. Promise.."

He was walking, almost running backwards saying, "alright! Ill call you later!"

I went inside, locked the door and went upstairs. Midnight was curled up on my bed, I laid next to her. Back to sleep I go.

Sunday morning- 9am sharp in the Office

"Alright everyone." I projected to everyone working. They all stopped and put their attention on me. With a straight face, I say, "Sunday paper looking pretty good y'all. Keep up the great work!"

Everyone clapping, they got back to work. I went Into my office. Feeling absolutely amazing. My boss came into my office, closed the door.

I looked up, "Hey boss."

"Hey Alisha. I know you're usually busy with everyone's article but I think you need a vacation." Boss said.. Wait so what?!

"Seriously?" I questioned..

Boss chuckled, "haha yeah, you've been doing so well, I'm willing to pay you while you vacation."

My mouth dropped instantly. This is amazing, I can finally do what I want! Awe man, this is too good to be true.

"Pack up you're office and lock the door, ill take care of the floor while your gone." Boss said, walking out my office. I grabbed my messenger bad, my phone and keys and went to Dora's office real quickly. She was on the phone, as usual,

"So tonight?" She said on the phone. "Okay. Alright. Alright, bye now." She hung up.

"So I just got some good news." I said to Dora. She was more interested in it than me!

She predicted "You got laid?! Thank god because you almost 24 and-"

"No! I'm still a virgin. That's not the news, gosh Dora.." I said. She's always doing the most. "I get a break, boss is paying me to vacation.

"Awe man, that means I have to take all your calls and meetings.. Dang Lisha. I know you'll have fun with lover boy."

"Ah maybe." I said walking out if her office.
