"Just like this?" Ask the stylist.
"Yup. Exactly like that."
"Okay. Ill hook you up my sistah, just sit back and relax.." She said to me, pure music to my ears. I put my headphones in and let them turn me into the baddest chick I thought I was.
Hours later, I tipped the ladies that made me look like Halley Berry from Catwoman. "Fried, dyed, and laid to the side" I can hear my mother mock when I was younger, she alway said that about the church ladies with a new up-do.
I knew I was turning heads as soon as I stepped out the salon. I was truly ready to start this new chapter in my life.
When I made it home I saw the box that came to my door, still on the counter.
Nah. I won't open it yet.
Getting myself super sexy for tonight, I didn't want to do alone. So let me clear some things up.
Charles: the mad man I use to be madly in love with but had to end things because he was too controlling and naïve.
Matt: seemed like perfection but with too many secrets, especially with Dora and a kid..? Ugh.. Can't deal!
Dwayne: the super sexy soul bratha from the café. Down to earth and totally an eye catching flirt. Hmm... Maybe ill give him a call.
*ring ring* Dwayne answered with a tired voice.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's Alisha, ah Alisha Roberts." I said shyly.
Clearing his throat, "uh um hello Ms. Roberts, glad to hear from you again. I thought of never see or hear that beautiful voice of yours again."
Such a charmer, got me blushing and we aren't even face to face! Lawd.
"I can say the same about you," trying to sound normal. "I know this is kinda forward but did you want to go out tonight? IF YOU'RE FREE?"
It was silent for a couple seconds, but felt like a long times
"Yeah, just text me when and where and I can meet you."
