Now that Ashley was back, it was time to figure out what's wrong with Morgan. God, can we ever get a normal day? Her hair is turning grey, her teeth are falling out, her skin is wrinkling, and her nails are getting weak. Collin, Cailey, Morgan and I went out to get a witch. The same witch that put the protection spell on Cailey. Once we finally got there, she asked us to set up candles to 'draw in the spirits'. Then, we all gathered in a circle around Morgan. She cut her palm and let the blood drip on a stone the witch at down next to her. Finally, she began her chant. "Mortem aetate tempus." She recited this a couple times then lowered her hands. The candles flickered. "What is it?" Morgan asked.
"These words that I was chanting mean, 'death, age, time.' Since you took the cure, your health and body were affected by the change. Therefore, your getting back all of the years you lost. You have about three weeks left." The witch let out a long sigh. Morgan looked down and squinted her eyes. "There has to be something you can do!" She said loudly. "This can't be the end. The cure was supposed to be safe!" I saw a tear stream down her face. As much as I hate Morgan, I actually feel sorry for her.18 days later
We all sat around Morgan. She lay in her coffin at a storage unit, where we will be storing her body. Collin and I were the only ones who said goodbye. After all, what do they have to say goodbye for? Collin went up to the side of the coffin. "Morgan, you have always been the sister that I never wanted. You weren't very good at it either." Moran chuckled. "But, I will admit, I think I will miss you. Goodbye, sister." Then, he leaned down to give Morgan a kiss on the forehead and backed away.
Next, it was my turn. "So, Morgan."
"So.." She replied.
"I guess this is it, huh?"
"Yep."
"I never particularly liked you, but at least I could stand you. That doesn't happen with a lot of people. Even though you've tried to kill me and you probably dreamed of me dying. See you on the other side." After we were done. Morgan's veins in her skin started turning a stone grey. Before we knew it, she was gone. Collin sighed, closed the coffin and the storage unit door, and we left there leaving with one less person.
When we got back to Collin's house, after dropping the girls off at Cailey's place, we went to the couch and poured some scotch. "So, what now?" I said, "we actually don't have anything to do with vampires on our hands."
"Well, I don't know." Collin responded, "how about we take this time to ourselves." He grabbed my hand and leaned me closer to him. "Eliza. This last year with you has been the best year of my life. Even with everything that's been going on, I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He got down on one knee. I knew exactly what's going on, and then he said it. "Will you marry me?" I looked at him and I started crying. He also did. "Y-yes." I responded with a smile and grabbed his head and pulled him into a kiss.
