Keith kept on crying on the side of the street while holding Alex when suddenly, an ambulance stopped in front of them. Keith looked at the service team that's approaching them and said with a trembling voice:
"P...please help my friend."
When they reached the hospital, Alex was immediately run into the emergency room.
"You are not allowed to enter. Please stay here." Said one nurse to Keith
"Please save her. I am begging all of you." Keith answered
"We will do everything we could."
The nurse then entered the ER. Keith was left outside the room. He sat on the hospital chair cried and waited.
While waiting, Keith kept on wiping his tears with his outer uniform. Then suddenly Steve arrived running.
"Keith!!" Steve called *panting* "What happened?!! My friend here called and said Alex was here!!"
Keith looks up and just stares at Steve with a shivering lip and tears continue to fall. Watching Keith's face and all the blood in his clothes, he began to worry very much. With round eyes he asked:
"T..tell me Keith. . . Wha..what happened to Alex?" When Keith did not answer and continue to cry, he began to get angry as his tears started to fall. He then grab Keith by his two hands and yelled, "I'M ASKING YOU WHAT HAPPENED!!!!"
*continue crying* "I..I don't know!!" *crying some more* Keith forcefully answered
Steve kept on looking at him for a while and let him go.
"You. . . Go home for now Keith and get cleaned up." Suggested Steve
"NO!! I need to be here when Alex wakes up!" Keith protested
"STOP IT!!" Steve said "Just look at your self. You look like a mess!! Do you really want Alex to see you like that?!" Keith got silent "Just. . ." Steve continued "Just go home. Get clean, change your clothes, clean up your messed make up and dress like as a man. Let's not argue anymore. I'm sick of it."
Keith could not say anything. He step back, turn around and ran away crying.
John in the moment went home to get some things for Mr. Park and check what the boys are up to in the quarter. As he entered the door, John was so surprised to see them full with bruises and treating their wounds.
"What's going on here?" John asked, the boys began to get surprised as they saw him. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!!" John continued with an angry voice.
"John, we went out to look for the kid." Said one of them
"WHAT?!" John grabbed his shirt and he became hot in anger "What did you do?! Where's the kid? What did you do to him?!!"
"Why are you like this?!" Said the other, "We are wounded. Tired and beat up but you are more concerned with Daniels' child than us!"
John became angrier, threw the one he is holding. "Didn't I tell you not to do anything foolish without me?!" he screamed "Do you know how much trouble you will give the president if he will know what you did?!"
"We want to please the president that's why we did it!"
"Nonsense!!" John yelled "You don't know anything!! Where's the kid?! Where is he?!"
"WE DID NOT FIND HIM, OKAY!!" One screamed
"What?"
"Yes, we did not find him. We just ended up fighting with the kid from the last time." Said the other
"What did you do to that kid?"
"We beat him of course. But he won't tell."
"You are all hopeless. You beat up a high schooler."
"Hey John for your information he's not an ordinary high schooler, and what's wrong with you?!
"Because you just beat up the friend of the president's nephew."
All of them became surprised on what they heard.
"Wh..what?" Said one of them
"Nephew? Daniels' son is the president's nephew?" asked the other
*sigh* "Yes" John answered
"Are you pulling a joke on us?"
"Do I look like it?" John said
"But. . . how come?"
"The president found an old letter in his late father's things. It stated there all his confession to our beloved president."
"Confession? What confession?"
"Daniels and Mr. Park are half brothers."
When hearing of this, they were so surprised and could not believe it.
"Half brothers? How could this be?" Asked one of them
"Before our Madame, his father was in love with someone else. But Park's family are against the relationship. They manage to separate the two of them and arrange a marriage meeting with our president's late mom. This happened without the knowledge that his first love was pregnant and that child turns out to be Daniels."
"This is ridiculous! What did the president say? How about all that we planned?"
"It's all canceled now. He is very happy to know that he still has family in blood, and he is determined to make peace with them and make happy memories with them while he is still alive. But I guess it will take time because we made a mistake."
"Mistake? What do you mean?"
"Do you think his nephew will accept him if he will know that we beat his friend on the street?"
"I know we made a mistake about it but we didn't know."
"You have to take responsibilities in your actions. Whatever the reason is, the president will never allow any of us to make a child's life miserable. He never wants us to use force on children but we just did. You just did. So reflect on your actions and find a way to settle all this. I don't want the president to get upset anymore."
John left, leaving the boys into thinking.
"What have we done?" Said one
"I never thought this would happen." Said the other
"So, what now?" Asked one in the back
"We have to find the kid we beat up."
"I don't think he would want to settle this. I mean after what we did to him?"
"What if that kid died on the street?" Suddenly asked one of them
"Hey! Don't say that!"
"Yes. He can't die."
"But I am sure we give him many pretty good blows."
"Stop it!!! Don't keep on rewinding! We have to find him and make a settlement. I just hope this will go well."
Keith takes a shower and as he sees Alex's blood draining of the floor, he keeps on remembering how Alex looks like when she was unconscious. The picture of dead Alex keeps on coming back into his mind. His hands are shaking; he holds his head and scream inside the shower room. He leaned his right side body on the wall and slowly sits on the side. It took him for a while before he move again. Then he hurriedly takes off all his dirty clothes, finished showering and dress up. He takes some clothes for Alex before he leave home.
He rushed directly to the hospital that he couldn't wait to see Alex. He saw Steve talking to the doctor from afar. The doctor then left after the conversation.
"Steve!" Keith called. When Steve looked at him, Keith stopped walking as he sees Steve crying so hard. "Wh..what did the doctor said?" Keith asked but Steve just continued crying and sobbing more. With these Keith feels so much pain in his heart like it got stab by a sharp knife. He feels like all his strength had been taken away from him and the things he was holding slip in his hand. "No. This can't be happening" *shaking his head* Keith holds his chest, face turns to red and tears started to falls down unstoppable. He feels like he can't breathe. He falls down to the ground and start to sob too. He can't stop crying that he feels like dying.
It takes for a while before Keith could calm his self. Steve also calmed, and stayed silent.
"I want to see Alex." Keith said "Where is she?"
"You can't." Steve answered
Keith blazed when hearing this, stands and picked Steve up.
*Angry* "I said I want to see her now!! Take me to her!!"
Steve pushes Keith so hard "I said you can't!!"
"Why can't I!!"
"No ones allowed to visit her for now, you have to wait till tomorrow!!"
"Wh..what? You, you mean she's still alive?"
"Why did you think she already passed away?"
*more angry* "Then why did you cry so hard dummy!! You sent a wrong message!!"
"I saw her okay! And I can't help it when I saw how bad she looked, bandage are all over her. The doctor said she's in critical condition. If she won't wake up till tomorrow, then they will put her on a comma list. She's good as dead!! It breaks my heart so I can't help but cry!!"
Keith is striving to breath and feels relieve somehow. He sat on the hospital chair and starts to whine. He cried with relief. "I hate you Steve, I really thought she's dead."
"Tell me what really happened Keith." Steve asked
"I will also ask Alex the whole details. She told me to go to school first 'cause she said she forgot something. But before I reached the school, I decided to go after her and I saw her in that state."
"Why didn't you call me?!"
"I can't think of anything when I saw her. With all those blood on her face. I was terrified. When we were running, I lost my phone." *cried*
*Steve sigh*
