That night, Keith and Steve didn't have a good night sleep. On the following morning, Alex is packing her things up.
"Are we leaving already?" Keith asked
"Yes I guess so." Alex Answered
"I haven't enjoyed the beach yet." Said Keith
"Yeah Alex, why don't we stay for a while, and go back this after noon?" Steve said
"Okay, that's fine with me." Replied Alex
"Yipppeee!! I will swim now!" Keith happily said
"I guess I will go swimming too. You should come too Alex!" Said Steve
"Yeah, yeah you go ahead." Alex replied
Keith hurriedly takes his short and got change. He then runs to the beach. Alex followed. Seeing how the people are enjoying their time, Keith became really excited.
"I want to ride those!!!" Keith screamed while pointing on the people riding jet skis "Alex, let's try that one!!!"
"No, that is expensive to rent." Alex said
"I DON'T CARE!!" Keith yelled "Come on show me where!!"
"I know where." Steve suddenly appear
"Huh really? Where?"
"I will show you, but you will have to pay for mine in return."
"What?! Why should I?"
"Seems like you have money, and besides I know the person so you can get discount if we go there together."
"Arrgghhh okay!"
Steve and Keith went their way and rented two jet skis. They started to have fun while Steve is teaching Keith how to control it. Keith is enjoying how he learns and explore new things. Alex on the other hand is keeping an eye on them especially Keith as she is suspecting the people who attacked her has something to do with him.
They then wave to her and invite her to join the fun. Alex didn't go out swimming. She just kept on observing her surroundings. They went back home in the afternoon and arrive home at 6 P.M.
"That was a long day and fun too." Keith said as he lies down. "Why didn't you give the water a time? The ocean is really blue and clear."
"I'm tired. Will go to bed now and rest." Alex replied
As she is getting ready to bed, someone knocked on the door. Alex will supposedly get up but Keith suddenly stood up.
"I'll get it." Keith said "Who could that be?" As he opens the door, he saw Steve standing outside carrying a bag. Steve then walk straight to the door to enter, Keith got very much surprised and block him. "What do you think you're doing?" *uneasy facial expression*
"Getting in, why?" Steve answered
"Are you lost or something? This is not your house."
"This guy is really....From now on, I am a tenant in this place."
"Tenant my foot. I won't let you."
"You can't make me back out."
"This place is very small for the two of us already, how much more for three?"
"I don't care. If you don't like it then you should look for a new place." "Pushed Keith on the side and enter."
"Turned to him" "Are you crazy?!" Yelled Keith "I paid for the whole place already so you can't!!" *with big round eyes*
Alex suddenly gets up and went to the door.
"What's the meaning of this? I can't sleep. You're so noisy Keith." She then saw Steve and his bag. "W..what's going on here? Why are you here Steve?" She asked
"I am here to rent a space."
"What? Are you kidding me?" Alex said
"No I am not."
"Hey, you go back to where you belong." Said Keith
"What? So you think you belong here?!" Steve said angrily to him that made Keith silent.
"Hey! Why are you being like this?" Alex said
"And why are you being like this Alex?" Steve replied "How could you let him stay in your place. He could never replace that person!"
Alex hand suddenly hit Steve's face. Keith got very surprised that he was stunned for a moment. Alex looked at Steve furiously.
*watery eyes* "How could you?" Alex said, and she then push him, went outside with no words.
"A..Alex wait!" Keith called, he turned to Steve "I don't know what's you two talking about but I guess you crossed the line." Keith then runs outside trying to find Alex.
Keith looked everywhere but couldn't find Alex's whereabouts. When Keith returned home, Steve suddenly approaches him.
"Where is Alex? Did you find her?" Steve asked. Keith just sighs. "Oh where could she be?"
"This is your entire fault!" Keith said
"Yeah I know." Steve said with a very low voice
"Hey, who's that person I can't replace? I am not trying to replace someone here. I am just a tenant."
"Yeah I know."
"Why do you hate me? I didn't do you wrong."
"Yeah I know."
"Will you please stop saying the same thing over and over again?"
"I deserve to die." *gloomy face*
"What are you talking about?" Keith said
"Alex, I and that person was really close together. But she is especially close to him. That person was always used to hang out in this place. One day when we were in 7th grade, Alex got in trouble with some gangs. The gang was planning to get revenge on her. Alex did not want us to get involved with her problem, so she did not let us know. She cut contact from us for many days, and every time that person comes over her house, she's not home."
"Uh Huh" Keith said *very curious*
"One day we saw Alex walking on the street and to her home. So we followed her and we knock in front of her house. But she wouldn't open the door. She wanted us to leave. That person did not want to but keep on knocking on the door. Suddenly gang members came to look for Alex and we then understand what problem she was into. He wants to protect her so he prevented them from coming in. Alex hurriedly went out and the fight starts. She told us to run so we ran, but they caught Alex and she continues fighting them so we could escape. But that person came back for her and ended his life with a stab on the neck as he tried to save her. The men leave as they saw him down. Alex was shaking as she saw his blood flowing continually like water. I was there to watch and could not move. Alex started to shout and ask for help but I was froze. When he died, Alex keeps on blaming herself that if only she let him in to her house that time, things could have been different. He could have been alive today."
Keith is very silent as he was listening to it then suddenly Alex arrive. Steve stands immediately as she saw Alex.
"Alex, can. . ." As Steve was still talking, Alex cuts him and said:
"You can stay here tonight." Alex said then went inside
"Hey Alex, where did you go?" Keith ask "Let me guess, you eat somewhere else alone did you? You're so unfair."
Alex did not answer and went to sleep.
