Keith decided to stay in the hospital the whole day and never he left. The doctors allowed him to stay in Alex's room by the evening. Steve in the meantime returns to his work shift that night. Keith watching Alex sleep could not help but feel sad thinking she might not wake up again. Now he could see her bruises clearly on her face, arms and legs. He sits, holds her bandaged hand and tried to hold back his tears from falling.
"I am begging you. . . please don't give up. I know you're stronger than this. You have to fight this. There are still many things I want to say." *shivering lips* "I...I need to let you know what my heart wants to say." *tears started to fall* "I'll wait for you, so please wake up very soon."
In the next morning, Steve came to the hospital. He then wakes up Keith as he fell asleep on Alex side.
"Keith wake up."
*waking up* "Hey Steve you're here."
"I just pass by to check on Alex but I'll be leaving for a while. I need to do something at work."
"She's still the same as yesterday."
"I see. I will return tonight so you could go home."
"That's alright. I'll stay here. I have no plans of going home until she wakes up."
*sigh* "Okay. But I would still come tonight."
"Okay." Keith answered
Steve leaves and Keith remained. In the meantime the men from before had known that Alex was admitted to the hospital and so they decided to come and see her.
"Hey! All of us can't come there. The people will be wondering. And look at our faces! It's all messed up. They will think that we're criminals."
"Yes, you have a point there. So I guess it is better if only three should try to go inside the hospital."
"Okay, who will be going?"
It is already ten in the morning and Keith is putting Alex's things in place. "I think I should have quick coffee." He thought "Alex, I'll be back okay. I just need to go out for a moment but I will be quick."
Keith went out of the room and that's when three men arrived in the hospital. They then went straight to Alex's room. When they saw Alex lying on the bed, they got worried as her situation seems serious.
"Oh no. What are we going to do now? I think that kid is not doing well. Do you think his situation is not good?" Said one of them
"Will you please shut up!" Said the other, then he came closer to Alex and said: "W..we were the ones whom you encounter the last time. We are here to ask for your forgiveness. W..what we did was truly wrong. We acted foolishly, we shouldn't have done it to you."
"Yes, we thought that if we do what we did, our beloved step father will be happy. We thought that he wants to find your friend to get revenge on but it turns out that your friend is our step father's nephew." Said the third one
"Yes, that's true. We didn't know everything about his past and now we did something that could ruin his hope for happiness – to reunite his family. So please forgive us and if we found favor in your eyes, please don't let your friend to hate our step father. Because if that happens, my step father will lost the chance in becoming a family to him and his family."
"Yes! And as for us, we will accept if you sue us for hurting you."
After saying those words, there is silence in the room.
*confused* "Aahhh!!" *scratching his head* "Why are we doing this? Whatever we say is useless. She is unconscious!! How could she hear a single word we say?!"
"Will you stop!! There's nothing we could do now but this!"
"But he is right. How could she hear us when. . .?
Keith is on his way, and when he was about to enter the room, he heard men voices that are arguing. Then he feels uneasy so he hurriedly entered. The three got surprised when they saw Keith.
"P..president's nephew!" Said one of them
Keith was so surprised too.
"You!! Are you here to kill her?! I will not let you hurt her again!!" Keith is blocking the door as they tried to go out.
"No. We, we are here to ask forgiveness."
"How dare you!! You almost kill her and I will make sure that you will never get out of this. I will call the security!!"
"No. You are wrong! We are not here to kill your friend!" *trying to escape*
Then the three bump into Keith and they run outside and through outside the hospital. Keith runs after them. Alex suddenly opens her eyes slowly for awhile and then closes it again.
