The following morning Steve apologizes to Alex.
"I'm sorry Alex. I just want to protect you, but in the end I was the one who hurts you."
"Let's just forget about it Steve." Alex replied
"Thank you Alex. You better go now or you'll be late for school." Steve suggested
"Oh yes." Alex said "Nana!! Hurry up!!"
"Yes Alex coming!" Answered Keith
As Keith passes by, Steve stared at him and said.
"Can't believe that you're really a guy. Who would have thought that a guy could do this kind of thing." Steve said
*proud expression* "Why? Did you fell in love with me?" Keith said then sticks his tongue out to him, and he runs to catch up Alex.
*surprise and irritated* "Aaahh this guy really. I hate him!"
While walking to the school, Alex had a feeling that someone is following them. She stopped walking and when Keith noticed, he also stop and turned around.
"Alex what's wrong? Why did you stop? Keith asked
"Huh? Oh nothing. I just forgot something."
"Oh is it? Should we go back for it?"
"Ahh no, you go ahead and I'll just go back by myself."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" Alex insisted "I don't want you to be late. I'll be quick."
"Okay. I'll go ahead and wait for you at school. Don't take too long."
"Yes, I won't."
Keith started walking. As she saw that he is gone, Alex walk turn around.
"Don't hide!" Alex said "I guess it's time for you to come out!"
A group of men came out. Alex looked and sees that they are the men from before who were looking for her in the beach.
"You again?" Alex asked "What do you want? You are starting to annoy me very much. I am already late for school." Alex said
"You see student, if only you talked to us at first, none of this would've happen."
"What it is that you want to talk about?"
"We are looking for this one." They showed her a photo of Keith, and Alex gets too concerned about it.
"I don't know him." Alex said
"Are you sure?" Said the one who showed the photo
"Positive." Alex responds
*smiled* "Do you think we will buy it?" the man said "I know that you know where this man is. So you better tell us."
*Alex smirk* "If you don't believe me then it's up to you. But what can I do, I have nothing to tell you of his whereabouts."
"You don't know what situation you are into now student."
"Is that a threat?" Alex asked "What's in this boy that you are so eager to find him."
"We ask questions here, not you student." He said "So better spit it out and we will let you be."
"Sorry, my answer is still the same."
"You really want this the hard way."
"Well, let's get this over with. Let's end everything here and now." Alex said
"You ask for it student." He said and gives sign to the other to attack her.
Alex throws her bag on the side and they start to fight. Everyone attacks her but Alex manages to avoid the attacks, and return it to them. She starts kicking and punching.
Keith is on his way to school and as he almost reaches the school gate, he stops.
"Wait, why did I leave Alex? I am not here to study but to have fun. There's no need for me to worry about being late. Better come back and meet her on her way. RIGHT!"
Keith return on his way and run himself to Alex's place. While Keith?was so happy on his way, Alex is starting to get tired with all the men attacking him as she already got hit many times.
"This is bad. I will get beaten if this keeps up. They are so many." Alex thought
"You're good for a high school boy." Said the one of them
"Well, it just happens that your men are not good enough to bring me down." Alex replied.
"You still have guts in talking non-sense ey?" he respond "Beat him boys until he spit of Keith's whereabouts."
They start attacking again and Alex is trying to defend her self and return kicks to them. Alex got hit in the face and the other man kicked her on the side which made her knees shake. As one of the men will hit her on the back, she managed to endure the pain, get her composure back and avoid the hit. She then step back, hit him by her elbow and kick the one attacking her in front. Alex did not notice the can on near her foot and she accidentally step on it and loose her balance.
Keith in the meantime, with a big smile on his face, skipping while going home to see Alex. As he turned right to the alley, he saw the commotion that has been going on not too far away.
"Huh, what's this? A fight?" Keith watches closely from afar as the men keep on kicking a person. He saw them pulling the person's hair and as they put Alex's head up, Keith was so surprised. His heart was pounding so fast as he saw her face covered by blood that's flowing from her head.
"A..Alexxx!" Keith shouted, without thinking, he runs towards Alex thinking of saving her.
Then all of them turn. Alex as he heard Keith's voice she got nervous.
"This is not good. If they discover that he is Keith, they might do something bad to him."
As the men are preparing for Keith's attack, Alex manage to get loose from the one holding her arms, holds the man's hand pulling her hair by her left hand, and smack him down by her right hand. She began to be more aggressive than before, and act like a mad person, flipping everybody that comes her way. They are all caught off guard and was not expecting that she could be this wild. As she saw that three men are heading towards Keith, Alex run as fast as she could, step on a crate, jump and land in one of them with her bended knee. She then stands and run after the other and caught his collar, pull him back and hit his back by her right knee. Alex then run and shouted. . .
"DO NOT COME NEAR!! RUNNN!!!! RUN AWAY FROM HERE!!!"
Keith stop running and he was so confused on what to do. His feet froze as he saw a man approaching him. As he almost reaches Keith to hit him, Alex jump at him, hold his waist and they fall down.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! RUN!!!" Alex strongly said
"B..b..but. . ."
Alex then stands, step on the man, holds Keith's hand, pull him and they run as fast as they could.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! AFTER THEM!!!" Ordered the one leading them as he is striving to stand.
"Boss my leg hurt, I can't stand. I guess my bone breaks" Said one of them
"AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" He shouted as he is looking at them and their situation. "What kind of kid is he?" "YOU'LL GONNA PAY FOR THIS!!!"
As they run, Alex began to get dizzy and she started to feel all the pain in her body. As Alex noticed that she will to be passing out, she turned in a vacant alley and they stopped. Both of them are panting. Alex leaned on the wall and sat down.
*panting* "Wha..what happened Alex?" Keith asked, he is shaking as he is looking at Alex. Blood is all over her body. "A..Alex a. . are you alright?!"
"Keith listened, go over to Steve's place and stay there until I come and get you."
"What? Why? What are you talking about? What about you?"
"Don't worry about me!! You need to hide!! You need to be safe!!" Alex shouted "P. . please just listen to me okay?" Alex continue softly
Alex, then pass out.
*rattled* "A. . Alex!! No! What am I going to do?"
With his hand shaking, Keith holds Alex and lifts her on his back and run.
"Hang in there Alex!!" Keith is crying while he looks for help. "I don't know much of this town. What should I do? What should I do?" "Please help us!! Please help us!!" Keith keeps on asking every person he meets but they would run and avoid them.
*people murmuring* "What trouble did they went through?" "Hey, don't come near them, you might get involve with their trouble." "Stay away from me you delinquent students!"
"Help!! Please help us!!" Keith keeps on calling. Keith could feel Alex's blood running on his neck and his uniform is now starting to get red. "Why? Why wouldn't anyone help us?!" Keith stumbled and fall. Keith holds Alex. "No, no, no Alex. You can't die." Keith said as he realized that he is the one after by the men who beat Alex. "This..this is all my fault!!" *crying while hugging Alex on the side of the street.*
