"GET THAT MEIF'WA!" yelled that wretched voice. Aura's bright-teal eyes seemed to glow in the light, as her white feline tail swished. She leaped into the bush, and ran through the trees. She looked out from the bushes, not realizing how close they were to a village. Aura saw a guard. The woman had long red hair, dark turquoise eyes, and a scar down half of her cheek. "STOP!" yelled Zane's voice again. "Crap..." Aura muttered. "HEY!? WHO'S THERE!?" yelled the guard, raising her sword. Aura stepped out, her hands raised, in a 'I come in peace' gesture. "I'm cornered, Zane's after me." Aura explained simply. "Come on in then. Any enemy of Zane's is a friend of mine." said the guard opening the gate. The two came inside, and closed the gate, right as Zane reached them. "Crap." said Aura. "Hey, get back out here!" yelled Zane. Aura didn't respond, and subconsciously raised a hand to the arrow lodged in her shoulder. "What's all the commotion about?!" asked a new voice. Aura turned to see more people. Two women, two men. The first woman is tan, with black hair and hazelnut eyes. The second woman is meif'wa, with golden brown hair, and crystal blue fur. Now the men give a vibe that explains they're like brothers. One man is blonde with peacock blue eyes. The second one has crystal blue eyes, light brown hair, and a constant confident smirk. "Zane, if you really want to fight... Then come do it YOURSELF!" yelled the guard. "Oh, him." The first woman muttered. "Aphmau, he wants a fight..." said the blue meif'wa. "Brother, go home!" yelled the blonde one. "Quit chasing girls? You'll never get them to stay!" yelled the confident one. "Give me the prisoner and I'll leave!" Zane retorted. Aura felt the strong urge to rip her claws across Zane's face. "Zane, this is MY village! Go home, and you won't get hurt." says Aphmau. "Crying again, kitty-cat?" said Zane, ignoring Aphmau's comment. "Leave her alone!" said Aphmau. Aura wiped away the tears welling in her eyes. "Zane, leave! We don't want trouble!" yelled the brown-haired man. Zane sighed. "Neither do I. Fine, I'll obey." Zane said, and turned his horse around. The group watched in silence, as Zane trotted away. "So that was a thing." said the blonde. "Okay, then. Laurence, Garroth, you two keep watch for now. Charlotte, Jade you get this girl fixed up, and remove that arrow!" ordered Aphmau. "Got it!" everyone replied. "C'mon sweetie, let's go to the guard tower." said Charlotte the Meif'wa. "U-Uh..." Aura didn't know what to say. They're being so kind. People were never this nice to me back home... she thought. Aura followed the two women up a watch-tower. "Drink this. Oh, and this. And this." said the meif'wa shoving multiple vials into Aura's arms. "Oh, I'm Charlotte, that's Jade." she said, motioning to the guard. "Hey." said Jade simply, as she leaned against a wall, while sharpening a pocket knife. Aura eyed the knife, knowing what it was for, and dreading it. "So, this arrow's poisonous. Great." Charlotte groaned, after examining Aura's back shoulder. "And...?" Aura finally asked. "Well, it needs to be cut out. And treated." Jade answers straightening up, and walking over. "Sorry about this!" said Charlotte's voice from behind. "Wha-" Aura stopped, as a syringe was plunged into the inside of her elbow. Aura went limp asleep, and Jade caught her. "Wow, tiny thing ain't she?" commented Jade. "I was the same when I got here..." Charlotte mewed. "Okay, then. Let's get this arrow out! Prepare for the blood!" Jade said.

Aura woke up, her left shoulder stiff and full of pain. "Ow..." she mutters, sitting up. "Morning!" said a new voice. "Donna, she doesn't know you." said Jade's voice. "Yeah, she does now." said Donna. Aura lifted her heavy eyelids. She went to move, but stopped, when her left arm wouldn't move. "W-Why ca-?!" she started. "It's heavily bandaged, sweetie." said Charlotte, who had just climbed into the tower. "Oh... good..." she muttered. "Hey, you three! Get out of here, I need to talk with this girl in private." said Aphmau's voice from the bottom of the ladder. "Good luck!" said Jade leaping down the ladder. "Drink these while we're gone, okay?" Charlotte said, handing Aura the three vials from last night. Aura sat alone in her room while the four women spoke at the bottom of the tower. Finally, Aphmau climbed up the tower. Aphmau pulled a chair to the side of Aura's bed. "So, we kinda met on rough terms last night. I'm Aphmau, the Lord of Phoenix Drop, the place you're in right now." she explained. "Oh... thanks..." Aura replied. "Now, I need to know. Why was Zane chasing you? I'm sorry, but I don't care if it's a sensitive topic. I'm a Lord and have people I need to protect." Aphmau said. "Oh, it's no problem at all." Aura said, looking up with cold, aqua, eyes. "I grew up on the streets of O'khasis, always wearing a hood, to hide the fact I'm a Meif'wa. One night, I was hiding in an ally, starving, afraid, and hurt. This was before O'khasis became corrupt. Zane was still young. He saw me, he helped me. We became good friends, for almost 20 years. Lately, he would keep vanishing, to Irene knows where. Then, one night, he sent guards after me. I ran, and came here. The end." Aura said. "Well thank you. I'll leave you alone now." Aphmau said standing up. "Bye." Aura said as Aphmau left.
