The rest of the evening was spent, stuffing faces, and chatting. Aura watched as Aphmau devoured more food, despite the pie. "Aph, where does all that food go?" Charlotte joked. "The world will never know." said Garroth wrapping an arm around the Meif'wa. "Wait... are you two an item...?" Aura asked, noticing the gesture. "Ha! Yes! Now, may I have this dance?" said Charlotte offering her hand to Garroth. "You shall." Garroth replied. Aura let out a small laugh. "They're so sweet..." she muttered. "Yeah. they were seperated for almost five years, and when they found each other... they were inseperable." Laurence explained with a sigh. "I'm done here." Jade said, walking off. "I kinda have a thing for Pie-Face over there." Laurence said, nodding towards Aphmau, who had collapsed on the ground. "Is she okay?!" Aura exclaimed. The question answered itself, as Aphmau started to snore. "Look at that..." Laurence started to laugh, "Look at the boys!" he chuckled. Aura noticed that Levin and Malachi had curled up into the warmth of the Lord's arms. "Wow..." Aura said, smiling. "Well, then. Do you want to get these guys home?" Laurence asked. "Okay." Aura said. "You get the boys." Laurence said. Aura walked over, and picked up Levin, tucking him into the crack of one arm and Malachi in the other arm. "Careful, with Malachi. He's kinda fragile..." Laurence commented. "Hm." Aura nodded, and carefully lifted the boy, noticing how light he was. "Where to?" Aura asked, quietly. Laurence scooped Aphmau up, holding her like a princess, with her head resting in the crack of his neck. "This way." he said. Aura followed him, carrying the two boys, up a hill to a magenta house. Laurence opened the door and walked up the stairs, with Aura following close behind him. He turned off into a room, with the name Aphmau printed above the door. Aura looked around, and saw a blue door, with the names Levin and Malachi printed above it. Aura opened it and saw a bedroom, obviously for kids. Aura placed the boys on their respective beds, and closed the door gently behind her. "The festival's definitely over by now. You should head home." Laurence said. "You staying here?" Aura asked, raising a blonde eyebrow. "No. I'm going to leave a note though." Laurence said, walking down the stairs. He pulled a small piece of paper from his pocket, and grabbed a quill off a nearby table. You fell asleep so, Aura and I brought you home. The boys are in their room, thanks to Aura. Good job with that pie. -Laurence ❤️ He wrote on the piece of paper. Aura noticed the small heart Laurence put next to his signature. She found herself staring at it, not noticing a hand waving in front of her face. "Man, you space out a lot." Laurence said, snapping Aura back into reality. "GAH!!! Oh... uh..." Aura stuttered, feeling her face burn red, for about the hundredth time that night. "Ha! Another chick falls for my devilishly good looks." Laurence said flipping his hair dramatically. "U-uh... You wish!" Aura said, her face burning an even darker red. "I was just teasing." Laurence said, with an evil grin. "Pfft, you jerk." Aura said, whipping his leg with her tail. "Ow. That hurt soooo much." Laurence said, sarcastically. "Don't patronise me." Aura said, opening the door, and stepping out into the crisp night air. "Well. Good night... kitty-cat." Laurence added, before walking off. He's such a flirt... Aura thought with a sigh. She walked back to the guard tower she shared with Charlotte and Jade. Aura climbed up, to see her laying on her bed, reading a book. "Where did you go?!" Charlotte asked, snapping the book shut. "Helping Laurence. We got Aphmau and her sons back home, safe." Aura explained, donning her sleepwear. "Okay. Then answer this... why is your face still red...?" Jade put in. "Um..." Aura muttered, tugging at the bottom of her white night-gown. "Ha! Laurence is a charmer..." Charlotte said rolling her eyes. "U-U-U-Uh! How was your dance with Garroth?!" Aura asked, changing the topic, as she slid under her blankets. "I managed to wiggle a smooch out of Garroth." Charlotte answered. "Well, good night." Jade interrupted, blowing the candle out...
