Memories And Battle Scars (Chayley)

Chapter 2

I woke up and looked around my room. It felt good waking up in my own time and not getting woke up by noises or loud banging against my door.

I walked over to the Hot Wheels track that Hayley and Chad bought me yesterday and started to set it up. Soon I heard giggling come from the room next door so I got up to go and see what it was.

I walked into Hayley and Chad's room and noticed them tickling and kissing eachother.

"Oh," Hayley said, pushing Chad off her when she noticed me. "Good morning Rider. How did you sleep?"

"Good thanks," I said as I walked over to their bed.

I sat on their bed with them and told them what I dreamed about. They seemed very intreagued and asked lots of questions.

"I'm glad that you guys chose me and not someone else. I really like it here."

"We're glad. We really are looking forward to our future with you," Hayley said. "Do you want some breakfast?"

"After you've told me what we're doing today," I said.

"Okay. Chad and I are gonna take you to Disney Land."

I gasped. "I've never been to Disney Land before! Thank you!" I said before hugging them both. "You guys really are the best!"

Hayley giggled. "I'm glad we've made you happy. Now c'mon, let's get you some breakfast."

She got off the bed and lifted me off the bed.

"C'mon babe," she said to Chad.

"I'll be down in a minute," he said

Hayley and I walked downstairs and she lifted me up and set me on the counter while she prepared my bowl of cheerios.

"Are you gonna marry Chad?"

"I dunno. Maybe."

"I think you should. You make very good parents."

"Thank you buddy." She placed my food on the table and lifted me off the counter. I walked over to the table and began to eat my cheerios.

"How old are you?" I asked her.

"I'm 25," she said.

"I thought you looked about that age."

She laughed and put the kettle on. Soon Chad came in and greeted Hayley with a kiss on the lips.

"What's up dude?" He said as he ruffled my hair.

"Hi, Chad."

This is the first time that my foster family have actually made me feel like I'm part of the family. Hayley handed Chad a bowl of cereal before sitting and eating with us.

"Are you excited for today?" She asked.

"Yeah! I'm so so excited."

They chuckled and we continued eating.

"You say you've never been to Disney Land before but have you been to a theme park before?"

"No. Not really. I've only been to small fun fairs which are still good I guess but they don't have any roller coasters. They only have 2 second rides."

"So we get the privilege of taking you on your very first roller coaster," she said.

"Yeah."

"Now we've never been parent figures before so we're sorry if we don't get it right first time."

"You're doing better than any of the other foster parents I've had and I've only been here a day."

She smiled and leaned over to kiss my cheek.
