Ky's POV:

I wake up to a bird chirping in a nearby tree. I yawn and stretch, careful not to wake the sleeping Newt beside me. I can't help but smile to myself seeing his adorable relaxed face.

I wrinkle my nose in disgust as I realize, I probably smell awful. Slowly and carefully, I get up out of bed and go to a dresser in the corner. It's stuffed full of clothes. I pick a brown v-neck T-shirt and some blue yoga pants, clean boxers, and clean cotton socks. Then, tiptoeing down the stairs, I head to the showers. I step into the bathroom and lock the door behind me, hogging it all to myself.

The bathhouse is a long corridor. One side is stalls with toilets and urinals. The other side is shower stalls. At the end of the bathhouse, there are a few stained sinks with one disgusting mirror. I sigh and check to make sure the door is really locked.

I step out of my clothes and discard them on the floor. Stepping into the shower stall, I turn on the water. The water is freezing and I shiver, wishing for it to be warm.

I squirt the mint shampoo into my hair and close my eyes, lathering and letting the water stream over my sunburnt face. I'm so engrossed in my shower that I don't hear the door open. I rinse my hair and repeat the process with conditioner.

Suddenly, I hear very near footsteps. They don't have a normal rhythm though. They sound off, and slower. Whoever it is, is limping.

I gasp and open my eyes. Soap trickles down into my open eyes and I howl in pain.

"Shuck!" I curse loudly, wishing I had a towel.

The limping footsteps stop and I open my burning eyes to see who it is.
