I had been back to Julliard for a few weeks, school was going to start up soon. I had heard from Sam, he was going to go to an Ivy League school in Washington D.C. The Autobots were going to pay his full education which I was pretty happy about. I didn't hear much from Optimus himself directly but Sideswipe would always give me messages from him which would always make me smile. My roommate on the other hand had been an even more bitch since the day Ironhide and Optimus basically shot her down. When Sideswipe had come in my dorm for the first time she had tried to do the same, but like the other two, no avail.
The day was when Sam was going to have to move into his dorm, so Sides and I decided to make a special trip to just see him. Plus Bee was going to be there, and I had to see Bee. "So how is the roommate treating you?"
"Giving me the silent treatment, but quite honestly I do not give a damn." I replied.
"Watch the language." He grumbled.
"Sorry...will Optimus or Ironhide be here?"
"Sadly, no they're being detained at NEST, sadly. He said he wished he could be there with you." Sides replied.
I smiled a sad smile. "One day we will be together...hopefully that day will be soon."
I felt the seatbelt tighten on me as if Sides were giving me a gentle hug. "You two will be. And Ironhide will be there right behind you guys."
I chuckled a little bit, "Of course he will. If he wasn't I would be asking what's going on."
Sideswipe laughed as we continued our journey to Washington D.C. When we finally arrived we saw Uncle Ron, Aunt Judy and Sam just getting there. Quickly I jumped out of Sideswipe and ran over to my family and gave them a huge hug. "Hey there kiddo, what have you been up to?" Uncle Ron laughed.
"The usual, school and hanging out with giant robots. You?" I replied.
Uncle Ron rolled his eyes and looked at me, "Paying for this boy's education, that's what."
I looked at Sam who shoved his father and retorted, "You're not paying a dime, and the government is paying for me as a thank you for help saving the world."
"Whatever, still we had to drive you here since you decided to leave Bee at home."
My jaw dropped, "You left Bee at home!?"
"Freshmen aren't allowed to have cars on campus. I tried explaining that to Bee and he took it hard." Sam replied.
"That's still horrible Sam, he's your guardian...what if you know what come here?"
"Jess, I'm wanting to try and have a normal life and get through college. The less Autobot activity there is, the better my semester will be. You can have Bee if you like."
"I'm sorry Sam, but I have Sideswipe with me, and he's my assigned guardian. I love Bee to death, but I wouldn't trade Sideswipe for any other guardian." I replied. We heard a 'Woo hoo' from Sideswipe. I gave Sam a smug look who seemed to know something else.
"Even if Optimus or Ironhide had a chance to be your guardian?" Sam questioned.
I was suddenly quiet. I didn't know what to say. I loved Sideswipe like a brother, but to have my lover has a guardian would be great. I looked at Sideswipe and then back to Sam, "I love both Ironhide and Optimus, but I know they have more important things to do than to watch over me. Sideswipe is my guardian and like I said I wouldn't exchange him for any other bot in the world."
Sam's face dropped, shocked at what I had just told him. "Okay, are we going to go check out Sam's dorm or are we going to continue to debating why Sam left Bee at home...which I still don't understand myself." Uncle Ron exclaimed.
