Chapter 2

Bonding

The next morning I woke up, I don’t know what time it was, but I slowly rolled over and when I did I hit the floor. “Ugh.” I grunted as I slowly pushed myself up. I came eye to eye with the clock and saw it was nine in the morning. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head, I had slept twelve hours! I had never slept that long before in my entire life!

As I slowly got up I looked out the window to see all the Autobots still out there. It wasn’t a dream, it was all real! Everything that happened yesterday was real! I squealed in excitement and ran down the stairs and about to go outside to see Ironhide and Optimus when Aunt Judy stopped me. “Where are you going? I was about to go upstairs and check on you, I heard a thump.”

“I’m fine, Aunt Judy, really. I had just rolled out of bed.” I replied. Soon after I said that I regretted it. She grabbed a hold of my hand and dragged me to the kitchen and had me sit down. She started looking everywhere to make sure I wasn’t extremely hurt. “Aunt Judy, I’m fine.”

“I have to make sure, you never know.” She exclaimed with her eyes wide in determination to make sure I was fine.

Uncle Ron came walking down and when he saw what Aunt Judy was doing he looked at her and then me. “Judy, what in God’s name are you doing?”

“She rolled out of bed so I’m making sure she doesn’t have a concussion or anything.” She replied worriedly as I sat there looking at him as to ask him to make her stop.

“Jess, do you feel light headed, or wanting to vomit?” he asked.

“No.” I replied.

“There you go Judy, she’s fine. Just a bump on the head, and I’m sure if she did have a concussion, Ratchet would be able to detect it.” He grumbled. After he said that I jumped right up and went to go change, after I had picked out an outfit and fixed my hair and put make up on I walked down the stairs and about to head outside.

“Where are you going?” Judy called.

I turned around and answered, “I was going to go outside and hang out with the Autobots.”

“You haven’t had your breakfast yet, and we’re making pancakes, with bacon and eggs.” Aunt Judy exclaimed. I knew what that meant, I didn’t have a choice on whether I wanted to eat breakfast or not. I had to eat breakfast and Uncle Ron was cooking it. I went into the kitchen and sat down at the table. A few minutes later Sam came down, his bed head still showing.

“Did you sleep well Sam?” I asked evilly.

“Of course I did, why do you ask?” He replied giving me a weird look.

“Well…I have never seen a bed head like yours before. It just looks like your hair grew a mind of its own and decided to act all crazy.” I laughed.

“My hair does have a mind of its own…how did you know?” he replied giving me a crazy look which in turn made us both start laughing.

Breakfast was served not much later and I scarfed down the food as quickly as I could, I knew it wasn’t healthy on my body, but I wanted to go out there and see the Autobots again. They were the coolest aliens I could have ever imagined to come to earth. Aunt Judy looked at me and arched an eye brow. “Jess, are you okay? You ate your entire breakfast in a matter of ten minutes.”

“I’m fine. I wanna go see the Autobots.”

“They’re going to be there for a little while, you do know that right?” she asked.

“Yes, but you never know when they’re going to be called out on a mission.” I retorted. I had a point. They were Autobots; soldiers and if something was happening on the other side of the world they would go over and see if it was related to the Decepticons. I had to cherish every moment with the Autobots for one could die. Life was that precious and I wanted to make sure I had some time with them.
