The light from the television flickers throughout the dark room and chichi shifts against me, her hair spreading across her shoulders.
"I think the boys are ready for bed, don't you think Goku?"
I nod with a soft smile and crane my neck to kiss her forehead. She gasps and looks up with a curious glint.
"What was that for?" Her fingers touch her forehead where I kissed her soft skin.
I smile and kiss her again.
"For being so special to me. I love you."
She relaxes her features and nuzzles tighter against me, kissing my shoulder warmly.
"I love you too Goku. You're a good man."
My arm snakes around her shoulders and she sighs, pressing a hand to my chest as I breathe in deeply
"Ha!" My head swivels up and I lunge forward, sitting up abruptly.
Vegeta mumbles and rolls over to face me, sitting up as well.
"Mmph, what is it Kaka?" He rubs his eyes wearily and I take a big breathe and run my hand across his flame hair with a gentle smile.
"It was just... A bad dream is all. I'm okay."
He nods and wraps his arm around my chest and pulls me back down to sleep, sighing heavily and continuing to snore.
Why did that dream have to happen?
I look down at my snuggled prince and realize that it's all been worth it.
Maybe this was just fate for me.
After how everything has turned out, I have the ability, along with my sons and Vegeta, to reassemble the Saiyan race.
This is all been for us.
I kiss his forehead gently and he smiles in his sleep.
He is my prince. I love him.
