Coolers eyes continue to flicker across each of our own and it's a bit of an anxious air about the room.
I don't like the way he sits.
I don't like the way he talks
I don't like the way he looks
I don't like any of this
Something feels....expected.
I think my mate senses it too because he is visibly on his guard and on edge.
We haven't fought anyone as strong as cooler in a long time so I can't say that we will fair all too well but I know we have some sort of advantage.
Cooler stands and glares into my eyes and I find myself wondering why.
"I asked you a question, Monkey. Now answer it before I fucking slit your throat."
"Huh?" I blink quickly and Vegeta nudges my side with my elbow.
"He is asking if you're the one who killed his brother."
"O-oh! No. No that was future trunks. Sorry about that."
I rub the back of my neck and Cooler gives me a sarcastically curious look and I do my best to get away from his gaze but it feels impossible.
"Future trunks?"
"Yes. My future son came back to rid the universe of Frieza and even managed to do so."
Vegeta adds and cooler growls.
"You seen quite fond over the idea. I don't like it. Lose the happy attitude or I will give you something to cry about."
Vegeta shuts his lips tightly and I feel his fingers graze against mine.
My back tingles and I ignore it quickly.
"What exactly are you all here for anyways, besides being a complete nuisance to my existence"
My teeth grit and I shoot a glare towards him.
"Well you see, when you threaten my son, you're gonna have to deal with me. I don't exactly like it when my family is in danger. So maybe you could say I'm here to kill you."
Strange, you would think that I would say those words, but I didn't. It was Vegeta who uttered them. And when I hear them, I'm extremely turned on, not because he sounds so badass, no, but because I'm seeing such an amazing wide to how he treats my kids and I fucking love it. If I could, I would fuck him so hard right now....but of course that's against protocol when we are gonna fight. So I will just have to wait till we get back on the ship or something.
Vegetas fists are clenching and I can actually see his muscles pulsating on his back as he spits out angry words to the Ice Demon.
Now I'm just freaking proud of him. He always has such amazing courage and power and he is always willing to just kick anyone's ass if he has to.
It's perfect.
"Cooler, mark my words, everything Vegeta just said, is applied to both Okaru and I's intentions as well."
"so then tell me monkeys, are you ready to die?"
