Once we got to classes, they were long and boring. But I jotted down notes like everyone else and answered questions, like everyone else.
After history, Haku got dragged out of class by one of his older friends.
I sat there getting everything ready for the next class, but sat there looking out the window. The rain was fat and splashed on the window. The trees swayed with the wind, I was lost in thought about home, Nin, Misha, dad, when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey buddy, get out of my seat." He said to me.
I looked up at him. He was large, strong, and much older than me with piercings.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"If you don't leave now, you'll get a beating to the face, pretty boy." He said grabbing the collar of my shirt.
"Okay..." I said quietly.
He put me down; I scrambled to get my stuff, and left the classroom quickly. Haku was standing at the door waiting for me.
"Man, he was scary." I said.
"Who?" Haku asked.
"There was a big buff guy in there, and sits in the same seat as I do. He grabbed my collar and pulled me off the ground and told me if I didn't leave then, I would get a beating on my face, and then he called me pretty boy." I told him walking to next class.
"It seems you've got a bully." Haku said.
"Yeah, steer clear from him from now on."
"But why were you in there so long?" Haku asked.
"I was watching the trees in the wind, the rain on the glass, and thinking about home." I told him.
"Homesick, huh?" He asked.
"A bit." I told him.
"Don't worry! You'll be over it soon. You don't need bullies to keep you from coming here, right? So just think about breaks, and then you'll be able to see your family again." He said to me smiling.
"Your right. I shouldn't be thinking of bullies right now. Just school and breaks." Haku nodded.
After all our classes were over, I was still thinking about that guy.
I dropped my bag on the floor by my room.
"I'm gonna Skype Misha and the others, k?" I asked.
"Yep! Tell me when you want to eat." Haku said sitting at the kitchen table getting his homework out.
"Yep." I said opening my door.
I closed the door behind me after I got into my room. I sat at my desk and opened the laptop.
I quickly called Misha for a Skype chat, he answered.
"Hey Nixon. What's up?" He asked.
"Um, nothing really, but um, how do you get rid of bullies?" I asked him.
"Nixon, are you getting bullied?" He asked me. I lied.
"No, Haku is, and I want to help him." I told him.
"Is Haku alright though?" He asked.
I nodded.
"He was just picked up by the collar. He's okay, just a bit scared. He can be skittish." I told him.
"At least he's okay. Now, how to get rid of bullies...." Misha paused.
"What I would do is steer clear of them, but if they are coming to him, then I suggest telling someone at the school about it." He said.
"Right." I pulled a notebook out and wrote down what he said.
"Anything else?" I asked.
"If the teachers don't help, go to the principal, and if the principal doesn't help, talk to a parent or guardian. They will help you for sure."
I nodded, while I jot noted.
"Okay, thanks Misha."
"No problem. Call me again if anything goes wrong." He said before signing off.
"Yep, will do." I said quietly closing the laptop.
