Chapter 13 - Silence questions

Okay, maybe I should just forget about the part that I told him that he should get laid or something. Yeah, just forget about it. I was trying to make him a little interested and kind of hint it, but he looked at me with a weird look like he doesn't at all. Fuck it.

Okay, maybe he's a little attractive. Just a little-- fuck it. You caught me, I don't really like him. I just ... er ... think he's very attractive-- yeah! He's very attractive. Such an attractive guy that could be possibly my cousin or step-brother -- shit. When you put it in that way, maybe it's a little weird. Having a crush on your possibly cousin/step-brother. It's a 50/50 chance of him getting to level 2. FUCK.

You know, what I hate the most? Silence. Okay, maybe I kind of enjoy the silence. It's peaceful, quiet and I like being alone sometimes. But, I like being in the crowded and loud areas. Being able to shout your lungs out and you can't even hear your voice-- it sounds like ... no one can judge you-- you know?

You know, you know, you know, you know, you know.

I sound like a valley girl.

Help me.

Anyways, I realized that the Novus is kind of still in the stage of processing everything I have told him. But he does seem pretty fine that he's taking everything in so calmly and peacefully. Good for him!

As the sun disappears and it turns dark. We were waiting for the moon-light to show itself to us. We were still in silence, I guess Tucker wasn't comfortable in the silence. Neither was I, the Novus didn't show any shows of him being uncomfortable. As for Sonja, she's enjoying the silence. She's welcoming the silence like an old friend. Lovely.

"Is there games night?" I asked, wondering if there was. I've always thought it was games night tonight or something. Possibly like battle game for tonight.

"Nope." Sonja replied, "remember the lectures? There's the 7 days of peace, so no games night for 7 days. And no going to Ruxomar until the time of peace is over." Ah yes, the 7 days of peace. I hate it.

Maybe, a little. Okay, 7 days of peace is kind of bullshit. I get it, the Novus has to get used to the place before it's all overtaken and the war starts again. Too much information? Too bad.

"Campfire?" I asked, wondering if there was. I hate campfire night, I really do. You just tell stories as the fire starts up and makes up the stories to make it 'come to life'. I don't like it.

"Nope." Thank god, I looked at the Novus. The Novus stayed silent, like he wanted to get out of the conversation. Or possibly somewhere else, introvert? Or just very anti-social? "So, how's your first day here in the land of Mianite?" I asked, trying to not get distracted by my own thoughts.

"It's ...," he paused to think for a moment, "it's okay, I guess." He suggested, as he looked at his lap-- possibly crotch.

"Well, bud. Welcome to the 7 days of peace, I just hope that you aren't that lucky--"

"Are you wishing me bad luck?" He asked, a little confused. Looking up and looking at me. Tucker give me one of those killing glares, like he knows that if I don't do anything right now. The Novus will never be close to me or even befriend.

"I mean like ... hm-- not be some type of importance of this never-ending war--"

"What war?" The Novus asked, suddenly confused.

"I guess, ever since you came here. My mind is stuck to ... you I guess. I just want to be truce with you in the god war. I guess everyone else as well. They haven't really thought about the war, I guess when you appeared everyone stopped thinking of the war and really just want to have a truce with you." The Novus opened his mouth to reply, but he couldn't reply back with anything. He seemed to really think about a smart answer, but couldn't really think anything.

"God war?" The Novus finally asked.

"The war of the gods. Where, it's god versus god. Dianite versus Mianite, Dianitees versus Mianitees, and I think when you came everyone took advantage of this 7 days of peace and decided to try to truce with someone in this war." Sonja explained, as she pulls out the weeds in the grass.

"It's getting dark, can you possibly show me my temporary bunker or something? I forgot where it was." Novus finally talked, not being very social from the few seconds of silence.

"I'll show him, I haven't talked to him yet. And I need to speak to Nade about a certain thing." Sonja admitted, as she got up. I really did want to show the Novus where his bunker is, but I guess I can't hog up the Novus to myself. Although ... fuck it. Forget it. The Novus give a few seconds to think, before getting up with Sonja.

"Good night, I guess?" The Novus announced, but it was more of a question than a response.

"Goodnight." Me and Tucker replied back in sync. Sonja nodded a 'night' toward us, and the Novus & she walked off. It was silent, I didn't really enjoy it. I know that Tucker didn't like it either because he decided to talk up to make a random conversation about my life.

"So ... are you like -- crushing on the Novus? Or, you just like him for his appearance?" Tucker asked, tinting of curiosity.

"Love on first sight." I replied not in control of my future wording.

"That's a load of bullshit you're telling me." Tucker responded, as he picked at the weeds in the grass and threw it unaffectedly at me.

"I don't care. He's just---"

"You just like his appearance." Tucker guessed.

"I guess." I admitted, I probably just like his appearance.

"Well, good luck with the Novus. Once he goes into the ceremony he can't wake up. What do you remember from your ceremony?"

"I-" I don't know.

"Perhaps, it's for the best. But wish the Novus good luck, because he does have tank of judgement to go through right after."
