Chapter 17 - Could be Pneumonia
"He give a fight even if he knew that the glass couldn't break." Dianite announced as the Novus-- well now revealed as Jordan Maron-- fallen limp in the cage of water. I remember what happened to my experience, I remember desperately slamming at the glass walls and screaming for help. My hand started to bleed in the process. So the water turned a bloody colour. It was disgusting. But it stopped after about 30 seconds when I was on the urge of losing unconscious. I remember Dianite was laughing at my attempt to fight back.
I watched as Jordan's body fall limp and the weight lifted Jordan up. I bit my lip to stop myself from running up to the glass box and get Jordan out of there. This is madness! Bullshit! Fuck. Fuck. Jordan isn't worthy to pass this test. Damit Jardon! Did I just really call him Jardon? Oh well.
If the gods doesn't empty the glass, Jordan's body soon will probably shut down and Jordan will probably die.
I looked at Declan, Declan's eyes shown soul-less, almost like the gods were talking and Declan can only listen to their decisions.
Then, the water out of the glass box started to clear off.
"The gods have changed their minds." Declan announced, as he remain to have the same soul-less eyes.
The water disappeared, leaving Jordan still in the glass box but one of the walls has a passageway to get in.
"You have an hour." Both gods thundered, before I could feel their presences to disappear out of thin air.
Quickly, I and Sonja ran to the Jordan's body and drag him out of the glass box. Shit, we have an hour to revive Jordan and make him mentally stable to go to the next test.
Everyone else went to crowd around the body, everyone is whispering odd ideas of how Jordan can pass the test.
"He's going to survive." Hector scoffed in the corner as he crossed his arms.
"What do you mean? He was just drowning!" I replied back.
"He has oxygen in his lungs. Good enough, alive is well." Hector answered back with a poisonous distaste remark.
"I wouldn't be the one to break the rules. But, can we have someone to heal the boy?" Declan asked. Everyone looked at each other, making eye contacts and secretly asking each other 'Do you have the balls to stand up to do magic'.
Finally, Sonja stood up. "I'll do it. Thaumian Magic isn't exactly the best type of magic for healing. But it could help clear the water out of his lungs." I stood up as well, finally remember something.
"I have Votex magic, it could help with the healing process." I glanced at Josh, then look away to look at Jordan.
"Fine. You have half an hour." Declan replied with some type of scoff remark under his breath. Sonja sat down besides Jordan's unconscious body. Putting her hands on Jordan's temples and muttering some type of curse or enchant.
"Shit." Sonja muttered under her breath. She made contact with Tucker, before looking down at Jordan. "Nade, can you access the vert orbs?" Nodding at her plan, even though she given me not very much information.
"Viridi lux, Viridi lux, Viridi lux." I muttered as I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Opening my eyes, I watched at as the green orb start to dance around in circles around Jordan's body. Repeating the phrase a little longer, and he might be able to be healed or something like that. I don't know, I don't know much of my powers. Well, not actually powers. It's just magic that you can practice and it takes a couple of years to get to know it by heart. But it can run in your family lines as well, I don't think it runs in the gods' bloodline. So I think it's our mothers' bloodline (or father). A shock of wave, like an electric shock, stopped my heart for a second and surprised me at that second. I locked eyes with Josh, he nodded. Like he understood.
"Fuck." Josh muttered. "Fine, I'll help." As he sat on the other side of the body (across from me).
"Viridi Lux." I repeated as Josh started a new verse with more difficult words, it felt powerful. So Josh must know what's he doing.
"Et curate mergunt viridi. Quæ mergunt curatio. Ducens vitam." Josh chanted, as the green orb started to fade into a dark red colour. Then to a black shade and then back into the same emerald green. It repeatedly started to do that as Josh chants the powerful verse. I watched as Sonja pulled out a small knife from her belt-- oh shit. You aren't supposed to bring weapons into the arena.
"Mártha, écho exíre sas, kai na prosféroun mia thysía. Parakaloúme na apothikéfsete aftó to néo imítheos. Échei pnigmó kai proséfchomai na sas po óti boreíte na voithísete." Sonja chanted as she cut some pieces of hair-- why the fuck is she cutting her hair- you know. Girls can do whatever they want with their hair--.
I watched as a light purple light blurred around Sonja, and everything stopped when it was all interrupted by a gasp of breath.
Is--
Never mind, I already know the answer to my unfinished question
Is he alive?
Possibly.
But all I know that the water could damaged his head and his lungs. So, he's going to be a different person. Hypoxemia. Well, at least get a bucket for Jordan. Hypothermia could also be a cause of his death. Cyanosis, tachypnea, tachycardia. Which is going to go first? Well, cyanosis is winning.
No, I'm pretty sure he's going to die by Pneumonia.
