Chapter 16 - The Test of asphyxia
"If you die in your dream lapse, you'll die in real-life. So, prepare your last wordings. And be very careful. Good luck, Novus. Now at the recovery state, you'll now be presented by your name. Good luck, Jordan Maron."
Jordan Maron.
Jordan Maron.
Jordan Maron.
T-that's my name? That's my name! Holy crap-- that is my name! I feel so happy, I felt relief. Like a weight of the earth just came out off my shoulders. Okay, maybe that's a little bad reaction because of the future other tests that Declan have explained. I just hope, maybe I could at least pass the first test. That'll probably make me feel a little confidence about myself in the afterlife-- if there is one.
I looked at the others, they were looking at me. Like they were secretly telling me to go forward. Go first, be the one to lead. Okay, maybe they're not telling me to lead. But whatever, besides the point. Walking up to the already opened door, well there's no door. It's just an open passage that opens into a bright room.
Entering through the passage-way, I could feel the tense emotions of the war. There was a small glass box in the center of the room. About majority of my conscious were convinced that I was supposed to be in the glass box.
"Jordan Maron." A voice thundered through the room, and then soon joined with a laughter that sounded evil. So evil that it should be sent to the depths of the underworld! Another laugh joined, like they were amused of my thoughts or whatever I have believed in.
"Enter the box, if you dare." Another voice thundered, as the other laughed like they were doubting that I would have the courage to do it. Gulping, and then walked up to the glass box. Wondering if it could actually support my weight. The others walked into the room and now spread around the box, so they can't be cramped into a tight group. I finally got the courage and stepped into the glass box. A wind of force closed the door behind me.
I felt claustrophobic.
"Jordan Maron."
"Captain Sparklez."
I know realized that the darker voice (aka the second voice) was possibly Dianite (?) as for the other voice, the more 'lighter' (aka the first voice) could be Mianite.
"Gentleman."
"Intelligent."
"Curious."
"Let the test begin, Moron." As the darker voice chuckled, like he was proud of himself to be calling me 'Moron'. It could be possibly that my surname is particular closer toward 'Moron' since it's 'Maron'.
I thought that maybe they would teleport me or something on those lines. But instead, the glass box started to fill up with icy cold waters. Gasping at the water, I desperately slammed at the glass walls. Praying that the glass would break, but they were unbreakable! The water kept on filling up as I tried to break the glass walls. As I tried to forcefully break the glass, the water was now above my head. I need the last breath of air. I swim to the top of the glass box, accessing the last bit of air. The air was gone and the box was out of air, leaving me in the icy water.
I slammed my palms on the glass, attempting to break out of the glass. Breath was running out quickly, shoving my body against the glass. WHY CAN'T THE GLASS BREAK?
I was struggling for air, my lungs felt on fire. It burns like lava. I tried to force my legs to kick, but it seems like I lost control with my legs. I couldn't make any movement with my leg limps.
I was frighten-- I mean I was always frighten. The second that the water started to fill up I was. Panicking when I realized that I'm going to die drowning. I was going to die due to asphyxia. I could feel my air getting lighter and lighter, I made the mistake and inhale the water in. And the water went straight into my lungs. Crap- no. There's oxygen in water, maybe I could use it for a lack of oxygen in here.
Nope, it's just suffocating my lungs now.
Holding my breath is killing me, and breathing in might not kill me, so we might as well breathe in. As I breathe in again, but more water rushing into my mouth.
I was hyperventilating deadly, and I knew I was on the point where I could lose unconsciousness. And if I do, then soon I would fall limp and possibly my body could shut down.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
From the fact of the lack of oxygen to my brain, my mind started to feel a sense of darkness closing in from all sides. My vision turned darker and dull. I felt like my vision was started to closing in, almost like a camera aperture stopping down.
So this is drowning. So this is how my life finally ends. I'm going to die by asphyxia.
Then, finally after all of my hyperventilating. I went unconsci--
