As we were being hustled out of the school, the ground lifted up and revealed a silver tube, big enough to (maybe) fit two people. They of course pushed me through first. Surprisingly, the tube felt like rubber! I went sliding through realizing it must be a long passageway, like a long slide to somewhere. I landed on soft ground, it sort of felt like a mattress. I scooted out of the way just in time for my friends and the men to come down, "Ow!" Fiona rubbed her butt, "That hurt!" I gasped as I looked up, they hid all of this? Underground? It was what looked a huge marble room, filled with columns and gargoyles. It looked like a palace's grand hall! Right in the middle of the room, was a glass table, and at the head of the table was a chair. Well, it was more of a throne than a chair. And sitting in that chair-throne, was a great man. He had the darkest hair I've ever seen, even darker than Fiona's hair! And those eyes! They made you want to hide away and disappear forever!
He spoke a loud voice, "Welcome, guests!" he sounded sort of fake, but sort of not, "I'm sure you're all very confused, and maybe even scared, but I assure you, all your questions will be answered. But for now, come sit!" Just then, I don't know if the chairs just appeared, or I just noticed them now. We all sat around the table, eager to hear or and to ask questions. The man continued, "My name is Corple, and we are the Beacons!" As if a cue, many uniformed men marched up to the table, as well, two women and one man stood at Corple's side.
"I am Robra." One of the women said. She had short dark green hair.
The other women spoke, "I am Jarce." She had long brown hair in a braid.
Lastly, the man spoke, "I am Garvin." He was bald. So shiny. They talked so in synch, so organized.
"Uh... my name is Danny, and this is-" Danny started.
"Oh, we know who you are, we've been studying you for your whole lives." Corple interrupted.
"Okay, question time! First you kidnap us, then you say you know who we are and that you've been studying us, and you expect us to not ask questions?!" Fiona snapped, "We want answers!"
Corple just smiled and replied, "I see you are eager to begin. Very well then. We shall go to the rooms!
As we were walking in the beautiful hallway, Corple apologized, "I'm terribly sorry we had to get you the way we did, you see we didn't want to explain what was going on when there were so many people around. And if had just told you to come with us with no explanation, you wouldn't have come." His reasoning sounded logical, and realistic. But I still didn't quite trust him. We passed many different rooms, each one having a different colour theme. We stopped at a green room with "Makenzie" above the door.
"This is your room Makenzie. If we keep going, we will find your rooms." Corple said turning to Fiona and Danny, "Makenzie, stay here. Make yourself at home." I decided to do exactly that. If I was going to be here a while, I may as well see my surroundings. There was a green desk, a green bed, and a green closet filled with... Oh! A variety of armour... Was I supposed to wear these? There was armour that looked like the uniforms the men wore. Definitely not. There was some strange random armour as well. Maybe. And... Ooh! A super cool green armour suit! Only if I have to. I'm not quite ready to commit to the "Beacons" yet. No, nothing else important in this room.
Just then, I heard Corple's voice down the hall, "Let's get this over with soon, I'm getting impatient." Not so sound proof walls I guess.
This time a soldier talked, "Sir, shall I prepare the execution?"
Corple replied, "No. If they co-operate, they become part of our team, if not, death."
