When I woke up the next morning I looked around me curiously, how did I get here? And where is here exactly? A pair of arms squeezed me a little bit tighter and I froze in fear. Peaking down at the arms that were currently interlocked with my waist and trying not to move my head, my heart skipped a beat as almost instantly I recognized those muscular arms.... Then everything that happened yesterday came racing back to me. The shock at seeing Alex again after all these years, Darwin getting killed right in front of us by another mutant, Angel walking away from us, the fear of never being able to see her again... I saw that everyone was still sleeping so as quietly as I could, while still being half asleep, I slowly nudged my way out of Alex's arms, which I have yet to figure out how I got into them in the first place and waddled my way into the very destroyed kitchen. I slowed my breathing so that I wouldn't choke on the remaining dust that was flying around while I was attempting to try and find anything that we could try to salvage for breakfast.

"What's on the menu?" Asks Sean leaning against the counter top and sneaking up behind me.

At the sound of his voice I squeaked jumping in fright. I never thought that any of them were pretending to be sleeping until someone else woke up. I covered my mouth and looked over towards the others, more than expecting them to wake up because of me.

"Holy shit Sean! You scared me." I squeaked in fright.

"Sorry." He laughs quietly.

"Anyways there seems to be enough food here for some scrambled eggs and toast." I mumble to myself trying to piece together ideas and ingredients that I could see.

"Sounds good. Where do we start?" He asks rubbing his hands together eagerly.

"You can deal with the toast." I reply smiling.

I had just got the eggs in the frying pan and only seconds later I was smelling something burning. I automatically assumed that it involved Alex, because of his mutation, but when I look over at him I see that he is still sleeping peacefully...Sean! I spin around in circles and dash over towards the ginger boy, happens to be playing hot potato by himself with some burnt pieces of toast.

"How in did you manage to burn toast?" I squeal tossing the burnt pieces of toast one by one into the trash can getting it in every single time without hesitation.

"Considering that I'm still over half asleep it really isn't that hard to do." He yawns while stretching.

"Dude you are talented." I said turning back around to face him.

"Yea I know, it takes a special kind of talent to be able to burn toast." He replies sarcastically.

"No that's not what I meant. Before you yawned out an entire sentence to me and I still understood it. That takes skill." I say in all seriousness.

"I know, not everyone was born perfect like me!" He smiles moving himself into a dramatic pose.

I couldn't help the smile, and laugh, that make its way through my lips, like an actual smile not just the small smirk that I convince everyone is my smile and turn back around still laughing at the ginger haired boy and get back to making the eggs.

Around a half hour later Sean and I were done goofing off and getting the food ready, we dish them into anything that we could use for dishes, I know that water bottles and cups weren't meant for food, but we were low on options on the moment considering that we had gotten attacked last night. Sean went over to Alex and started beating the poor kid to wake him up while I went over to Raven and Hank and woke them up so that all of us could get some food into our stomachs before facing the day that is a head of us. It didn't take long for everyone to wake up once they could smell the food that had been made for them, so we grabbed what we could and left no crumbs behind.
