It was now the end of my second trimester and my body has been doing some crazy changes, so we've had to call in some back up. Demitri, the wonderful doctor that knows about my entire situation has apparently been staying in contact with Hank ever since I told our scientist about what's been going on. At first, I was mad because they went behind my back about doing that, but with my every changing emotions, I was excited to have the man around minutes later. Nobody, other than Demitri, knew how to deal with me when that started. Even Libby couldn't stand being around me which was a surprise to everyone.
Hank began making a new Crebero so that Charles would be able to find more mutants for us to help. Right now, he only wants to do a few at a time until we get a better handle on how this is going to work out for us, and because he and I are still healing from our latest ordeals. Surprisingly Libby isn't upset anymore about Moira leaving us.
If anything, she's more excited than any of us about our future plans. She's been working hard on forcing her visions to come at her will while also at the same time wanting them to come at their own pace, so there must be something or someone coming that's making her change so much. But whenever I question her about it she refuses to tell me because she doesn't want to alter the future. Sean suggested that I read her journal, but I respect her and trust her. Doing that would only destroy everything that the two of us have worked so hard on creating since she first arrived here in the middle of the night.
So, to keep my nose clean I'm just sitting here in my room, thinking about anything and everything that happens to come to mind. But I guess the one thing that I really should be thinking about is the baby. I've already got a lot figured out and of course Alex has helped every step of the way, he is the father after all and it's only right that he get's a say in everything involving our child. But there's still some things that I can't help but worry about.
What if Azazel and Riptide try to come back and they realize that I had mothered a child belonging to one of them? What if they take my baby away from me as revenge for escaping their torture?
I look down at my growing belly and a sense of calmness runs through me as all my worries fade and are replaced. No matter what happens we have a psychic on our side who would never allow anything bad to happen to those that she loves. Not unless something good was coming out of it. Which seems to be how this baby is going to be with our family.
"Knock, knock." I look up and smile as I see Alex standing in the doorway.
"Alex. Hey, what's up?" I ask meeting him halfway and hugging him tightly.
He wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead affectionately before moving away enough so that we can be face to face. "What are you doing in here all alone?"
"Just thinking. I don't want my curiosity over Libby to get the better of me." He nods in understanding since his curiosity is becoming as bad as mine of wanting to know what's going on with her.
"I see, but I don't think that you have anything to worry about though with reading her journal."
"I know, but I told her that I would never do that so that way she can make sense of her visions without altering anyone's futures."
"When you say it that way I can see the temptation."
"Exactly." I smile. "See I knew that I kept you around for something other than eye candy." I joke giving him a small wink and going back to sit on my comfy bed.
Without inviting him he came over to join me, making himself comfortable laying down beside me.
"So, what do I owe the pleasure of your visit Mr. Summers?"
