Tales From a Guild Member

Introductions

I doubt my story is as interesting compared to a few other adventurers.

I mean, Zanik who recently joined the Champion's Guild, had to slay a dragon.
I'm not sure I'd believe Ozan's tales of how he, Ariane, Sir Owen made their way, since Ariane admits he embellishes stories a bit.
Of course that 1 adventurer who did some pretty remarkable things. Slayed Elvarg, rediscovered Zanaris, navigated the Underground Pass, mapped the Kharazi Jungle.

But to start off, I was just a farmer's kid in Misthalin. Instead of adventuring after I turned 16, I apprenticed with Sani Semiv and Horvik. After a few months, I went & joined the Varrock Guard.
Went thru the brief training regimen, spent the next 18 months as a Misthalin border guard or sentry at the Varrock gates. Not much happened: dealt with a few muggers, moved broken carts.
Once my duties there were done, I journeyed to Al Kharid when Ali Morrisane was looking for guards for his trade caravans/carpets through the Kharidian Desert. 4 months of the blinding desert heat traveling from the Shantay Pass to Pollinveach and Nardah, I went to see Ali about collecting my back pay & turn in my resignation. (I wasn't paid much due to a number of unexpected 'expenses' such as training, equipment, food, water, a sand tax ....)
While back in Al Kharid, I guess I got my first job as an adventurer: protect a small farm from a pack of wolves.
Traveled around a bit doing odd jobs and helping where I could. Eventually I ran into Ozan, Ariane, & Sir Owen. They hadn't heard of me, but could tell I was an adventurer and suggested I look into joining the Champion's Guild. Until then I hadn't really thought about it.

I may have helped around, but beyond a mission for the White Knights, protecting a small village and farm, & stumbling across a small tomb in the desert for the Varrock Museum, I hadn't done much of note. In fact when I did pay the Champion's Guildmaster a visit, it took me a minute to work up the nerve.
