Inner Superman
A twilight that casts doubt upon the naive
And sorrow upon the broken and deceived
It's easy to gaze into the sunlight and forget the night
That is home to your regrets and misdeeds
A creeping hand will grace your mind surely
Pulling away your skin that hides your flaws
The weak will resist this calling to arms
While the strong stay steadfast and unbreakable
For they know that their skin is only a mask
Concealing the Superman that lay inside
We all lay claim to villains in the shadows
But seldom do we embrace our inner Superman
