Leaving Superman
You was always Superman to me,
Just...
Perfect...
Or so I thought.
There was nothing, you couldn't do.
But then:
This day
That raised my doubt.
Gently you took me in your arm,
Promising safety and warmth.
So I fell head over heals for you.
That is, at first.
Year in and out,
There was a growing thirst
For what?
Unable to satisfy,
I someday took leave -
Without saying 'Goodbye'
To a dream I once had as a child.
