Ch 7: Another school day.

"Love is the only satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence."

I went to school the following day happier than a bird with a cookie. Mm I like cookies.

I looked around me noticing that the hallways were pretty empty. I had gotten to school early trying not to be late. I somehow even got Kat to wake up early so that we could some together.

"GGRRrr!!" I heard Kim say.

I looked at him and raised my eye brow, "what was that" I asked curiously.

She smiled, "it was my stomach, I swear!"

I giggled, "Fine. Let’s go get something to eat from the cafeteria before school starts." I said hoping they had hot chocolate, or coffee. Whichever, they both gave me energy.

"On to the cafeteria!" she said marching like a soldier. I giggled but followed soon after, marching with her.

We passed numerous people, some smiled, some waved, and others looked at us like we were crazy.

When we arrived Kim began laughing her butt off. "That was funny, but some of the looks were kind of mean" she said wiping away her teary eyes.

"Thanks for telling me captain obvious" I said with a little sarcasm.

"You’re welcome lieutenant sarcasm." she said smiling,

We both stared at each other. Then we suddenly started laughing loudly. We would randomly say that to each other, at time for no reason but just to get a laugh out of it.

"We walked into that one" I said trying to catch my breath.

"No you did" she said holding her stomach and bending down.

I smiled, "I guess I did" then I sensed something that made my whole body begin burning up.

I looked away and walked to the lunch line dragging Kim along with me.

"come one, let’s get you something to eat," I said trying to avoid his gaze, because honestly the way my body felt once he came within screaming distance, well my body began to burn. So I know when he's near me.

I grabbed an iced coffee and began walking away with Kim walking slowly behind me with chocolate milk, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in her hands.

She sat down on a table I faced the opposite direction of Mr. Night. But Kim spotted him, sadly.

"Look Mr. Night is over there," she said pointing in the direction I sensed him. I pulled her hand down.

"It’s impolite to point" I said bluntly, once again taking a sip from my coffee.

She smiled, "He looks to HOT! Today" she almost yelled, then she fanned herself with her hands.

I smiled, when he didn’t. "Hmm whatever" I said nonchalantly. Trying to ignore the fact that Kim was making me jealous with the way she kept looking at him, but I kept my face serious and tried not to show anything.

"He’s coming this way" she squealed.

I grumbled and looked down at my coffee, but I could feel him getting closer and closer by the second.

"Good morning girls." he said in his sexy deep voice.

I refused to look at him, knowing that if I did my feelings would only burn brighter. And I would probably start burning with lust even more. And I couldn’t let myself lose control, I had to stay calm, keep in control.

"Hi Mr. Night" Kim said staring right at him.

I still wouldn’t look at him but mumbled, "Good morning." bluntly

"Are you still going after school today?" he asked me, placing a hand on my shoulder. Instantly felt my body begin to burn up even more.

I looked up at him, I could feel his body tense. I’m sure he was completely confused about the feelings he was getting towards me.

I looked into his blue eyes, completely mesmerized. His face looked stone serious. But he eventually cracked a smile, removing his hand from my shoulder. I frowned once I lost his touch, but composed myself and smiled. "Of course. Wouldn’t miss it for the world." I said trying to hide my excitement, or my true feelings.

He smiled and broke eye contact with me.

"Ok, ill se you two in class." he said before walking away. But I could tell he was a little freaked out because he wouldn’t even look at me anymore.

"Whoa!" Kim said once he was far away from us, "that was weird. You guys just had a whole lovey dovey movie scene right now."

I giggled, "No. I don’t think of him in that way, he's old. My teacher and I are not interested." I said with a serious tone.

She smiled, "one." she said putting a finger up, "he’s only twenty three, only five years older. Two" she put the other finger up "your eighteen, it shouldn’t matter. Plus, it’s only for a semester. And three" she said flipping me off, "who isn’t interested. He is so yummy." she said fanning herself once again.

I smiled, "I’m not. He’s my teacher, there are certain boundaries teachers and students should never pass, and the main one is having a romantic relationship."

Kat giggled. "People have them all the time. They’re fine... as long as you don’t get caught." she said smiling devilishly.

"Miss. Johnson will you please read the next sentence." Mr. Night asked me, without even looking at me.

I nodded and began reading. "My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me, that I must love a loathed enemy."

I sighed and looked down at my desk. Those words now have a meaning to me. I shouldn’t be with a human, I can’t be with Mr. Night. He knows it’s prohibited, he doesn’t want a relationship with a student. I wouldn’t let him risk his job.

I sound bipolar, one minute I want him to want me, the next I don’t want him to risk anything for me, thus not giving our relationship a try.

I’m freaking screwed, I couldn’t make up my mind. But I knew that lovely would be mad if I gave up the chance to be with him.

But I had to take this one step at a time, and do this very carefully.
