*A week later*
I was on the mend two broken ribs a new scar running up my back from were the glass shards and been dragged across my back.
Luckily Max was okay and got away with a few bruises but nothing to bad.
The cops put Mike in jail and our new house insurance payed to fix everything.
Everyone had been really helpful, helping me get around to and from the office and Max was doing most of the cleaning at home.
"Hey baby, how are you feeling ?" Max nudged my shoulder as I finished sending Barney his video thumbnails.
"I'm good but with all this 'don't move because of your rib' I'm putting on weight." I said tapping my tummy.
"You are perfect you really don't need to worry I know that as soon as it's all healed up you will be in the gym nearly everyday like before the incident." He grinned.
"Well hello lovebirds." Adam laughed having listened to our conversation "You have a fast food baby in there do you ?" He grinned "I have one to." Pointing to his stomach.
"I'm pretty sure most of the office does Adam." I laughed poking his belly.
*One month later*
"Hey you." I cooed tickling Mason's chin.
"Here." Alesa handed me a glass of water.
"Thanks." I sipped at it.
"So what was it you need to talk to me about you seemed worried when you called me from the office." Alesa asked sitting down next to me.
"Hum I think that I might be..." I put my hand on my stomach.
"What ?!" Alesa looked from me to my overly large tummy.
"So you know how I kept eating healthy so my ribs would heal faster and a week ago I started hitting the gym again well instead of loosing weight it seems I have been gaining it." I frowned.
"Could it be a side effect of the medication ?" She asked holding onto my hand.
"I haven't been on medication, I was given a diet that was suppose to keep me in a healthy state and reinforce my bone structure." I shrugged.
"You been to the doctor about it ?" Alesa asked.
"I'm to worried that if I'm right Max will leave me." I whispered.
"I really doubt it but I will be here with you and don't worry about it. Now I'm gonna go down to the store and get you a test." Alesa patted my back.
"Okay, hum I can watch Mason if you want." I said as she went to pick him up.
"Sure, I will only be a few minutes." She grabbed the keys and walked out.
"Hey little baby boy." I watched Mason playing with his toys and day dreamed, what if I did have a baby, what if Max left, what would I do.
