"Dear Margret, its been five years since your death, and your sons are turning into quite the handsome boys. Kelton and Spike started middle school, and Duncan and Luke are still trying to find ways to not go to school. Rick accepts whatever they do, and Drake? He turned six the other day, he acts more like you did when you were his age. Rick gets jealous time to time because of how Drake acts and how he woos the kindergarten teachers heart, they are all doing great.. it was a rough few years after you left us, Kelton wouldn't ever leave his room, Spike went mute, Rick and Luke were oblivious to it and Duncan remained by Drakes side. I told the boys not to blame their brother for the accident, its hard knowing your gone.. I will write to you again soon."

"I literally hate going to that dang school." Hissed Kelton walking through the front door.
Spike snickered. "You only hate it because the teachers daughter has a thing for you." He grinned.
Kelton shot the other a glare. "Who needs to get a hint that I'm not interested." He barked.
"Whoa, not interested in what?" Came Johnny's voice from around the corner who soon appeared with Drake wrapped around his leg.
Kelton clicked his tongue against his teeth before looking else where.
Spike smirked. "There is a girl at our school who has a crush on Kelty-boy here." He announced.
Kelton glared. "I told you to not call me that!" He hissed
Spike's smirk grew. "One of the reason why I still do." He laughed.
Drake removed himself from Johnny's leg then stumbled over to Spike with his tiny arms raising to be held.
Spike looked down at him with a frown, sighing softly, he knelt down and lifted up his younger brother.
"Did you cause uncle any mischief today?" He asked Drake who giggled before shaking his head.
Kelton rolled his eyes. "You should have." He commented.
Spike rolled his eyes as Drake tilted his head with confusion.
"Where are the three brats?" Kelton now asked.

"One 'brat' is right behind you." Grumbled a tired Luke who walked past the guys rubbing his eyes, Duncan and Rick followed in as Rick grinned seeing Drake.
"Wanna go play?" He asked the six year old, who's green eyes widened before reaching out for the nine year old.
Spike handed Drake over to Rick who ran into the back yard both giggling.
"I swear Rick acts like he's still four sometimes." Kelton murmured.
Duncan glared softly. "Rick is the only one who really plays with Drake, its not a bad thing to still act childish. You should try it sometime." He snapped walking off.
Kelton blinked before turning to Spike and Johnny. "Did I just get scolded by a eleven year old?" He asked.
Spike laughed. "Your only a year older than him, and yes. I think so." He grinned before heading upstairs to start studying.
Kelton crossed his arms with a frown. "I guess I'll make myself suffer and study as well.." He murmured.
"Good, you need to!" Luke yelled from within the kitchen.
Kelton's eye twitched. "I heard that you brat." He spat.
Luke stuck his head out of the archway to the kitchen. "You were meant to, idiot." He said before sticking his head back in.

Sighing, Kelton headed up to his own room to begin studying.

"Come on Drake, you have to run or the ants will get you!" Rick announced, Drake struggled to keep up with the other as Duncan sat on the porch watching the two with amusement, he watched Drake fall and start to cry; fixing to get up to go help. He watched as Rick ran over to the other and helped him to his feet, he smiled softly with a yawn.
A lot has happened through the five years of their mom being gone, Duncan always figured his brothers would gain this hatred for Drake, but instead they just accepted what had happened and couldn't hold it against their brother. He didn't plan to end their moms life, he didn't plan for their parents split up. He sighed now with a frown, he looked up at the sky as the clouds began to grow darker.
"Guys lets get inside, it looks like its fixing to pour." He told them.
The two stopped running as they turned to Duncan with a nod, they all ran inside as the thunder roared and their eyes grew wide, except for Drakes.

There stood, in front of the closed front door, was their dad James and a knocked out Johnny slumped against the wall.
James gave off a drunkard grin. "Hello boys, is your mother around? I'd like to speak with her and her slutty attitude." He slurred.
Duncan glared, he pushed Drake behind him as Rick frowned.
"Mom's dead." He told the man who stood there calmly, as if the news didn't phase him.
James looked around.
"This is a nice place, did your mom spend her life savings on it?" He asked walking around now, Duncan backed up as Drake frowned softly not understanding what was going on.
"Rick, go get Spike." He told him.
Rick nodded fixing to run past James who only slammed the child against the wall.
Rick cried out in pain.
"BUBBA!!" He screamed.
Duncan hid Drake in the closet under the staircase as he glared.
"Get out!" He snapped.
James walked over to the eleven year old as his hand connected to the others face sending him to the floor followed by a cry in pain.
"What the heck is going on down there you guys?" Spike yelled but stopped at the top of the staircase with wide eyes at the scene, Luke and Kelton were behind him as they stood there with disbelief.
Duncan and Rick were whimpering in pain as James stood there, cracking open another beer before catching the other three then smirked.
"Oh, there you three are, I heard about your mom, to bad I wasn't there to see her die myself, what did she die from? Too many di-"
"You bastard!" Kelton yelled running down the stairs, his fist rising but only winced when James caught it and squeezed down with pressure.
"You need to watch your language, there are children around." James laughed before violently shoving the other down.

Spike and Luke were at Duncans and Ricks sides as they looked around with worry.
"Where is Drake?" Spike asked Duncan who frowned.
"I told him to go hide." He whispered.
"Who the hell is Drake?" James slurred.
All of the boys were glaring now, full of hatred at the man they once called, dad, papa or father.
Duncan froze at the sound of the door opening, and a teary Drake popped his head out.
"I'm scared.." He told him.
Duncan frowned, he opened his arms as Drake ran over to the other and hid his face into the others shirt.
James rose a brow, before glaring. "Is this the brat I told that good for nothing woman to abort?" He spat.
"Abort..?" Rick winced.
Spike glared darkly. "We owe you no answers, get out before I call the police!" He demanded.
James blinked before cackling, he walked over to Spike before pinning the preteen against the wall, his hand tightened around the others throat.
"I'm about sick and tired of you useless brats thinking you can order me around." He hissed.
"Let him go!" Exclaimed Drake.

Spike's eyes grew wide as James turned to the six year old who held a knife, tears falling as he frowned deeply. "You hurt my brothers, your a bad bad man!" He yelled.
James released Spike as he made his way over to Drake.
"Leave him alone!" Kelton and Luke snapped in unison.
James knelt down in front of Drake, he took the knife and pushed it against his own chest.
"Go ahead kid, do it. I won't blame you, but with one man dead, another knocked out and six boys a bit bruised up and you the only one unharmed with finger prints on a knife? You'll be torn from this family before you could even blink." He laughed as tears fell down Drake's cheeks.
He looked to his brothers before crying out in pain before shoved down, the knife flying out of his hand.

James walked over to Drake, fixing to stomp down on the child's fragile chest as the door swung open and three police men ran inside. They tackled James, followed by loud shouting.
The six of them sat on the steps with blankets wrapped around them, they were all caught up in the moment with James no one had realized Johnny had woken up and called the police.
Drake was shaking, he didn't know who that man even was,  just him willing to die.. but what he said, more tears fell but they stopped when he felt other bodies press against his.
"We're going to be okay, thanks you Drake." Spike told him with a soft smile.
Drake looked at him as more tears fell.
He could only force a smile and nod.

Wowie! I made this chapter really long xD my bad, I got into the moment.
That will be the last of James, for now.
Originally, I was going to have Drake kill him in this chapter, but I was thought for a moment; a lot more is going to happen.
Chapter 5 will be up either later, or tomorrow with chapters 6&7.. I am honestly thinking about doing three chapters a day, but I am not sure yet. Just depends on what I can come up with, and if I can wait that long.
Until then.
Thanks!
~Celty.
