Chapter Nine

K: I was at mom's house laying on the hammock swing staring up at the sky. Mom came home, the maid told her I've been her for a long time and that I'm out in the backyard.
Mom thanked her and came outside looked around and saw me. She walked on over and stared at me.

"Just lay with me please." I sigh

She got on the swing had me lay my back against her chest she held me in her arms I closed my eyes as I exhale deeply. Mom didn't have to say anything to make me feel netter.

She knows just what to do. After a while we were in the house, in the kitchen she had went in the freezer and pulled out a box of Hersey pie. I smirk as I saw it, she cut both of us a nice slice sat down next to me. We began eating it.

"I know you're my aunt." I said

She looked at me, I turned my head and looked at her.

"But you'll always be the woman I am proud to call my mama, no matter what I love you ma, always." I continued

She place her hand on my cheek and said "I love you always Koy, always."

We let our foreheads touched, than we continue eating. I spent the whole day with her. It was just what I needed. Simone was happy I was feeling better she knows how it is for me.

I gotta love that woman so much for it, been with me through thick and thin, never changed on me and I never changed on her. I'm so happy to be marrying her soon.

A month and a half later

I gotten a call from Marisol's asst telling me that she wants to have lunch with me to talk business about some new music. I thought for a moment.

"Sure when and where?" I asked
She gave me the time and place I told her I'll be there. We hung up she told Marisol that I will be there.

Wednesday

I got dressed was looking good, dressed simple but classy. I was wearing my glasses instead of contacts.

I had got in my car and drove on out to the restaurant got there about 20 minutes later I pulled up along side the curb got out hand the valet my keys he hand me my ticket and went to park my car.
I went inside, looked around than I saw Marisol. I walked on over to her she turned her head her eyes lit up as she saw that I came.

She smile softly, I grin she got up I gave her a half fast hug and a peck on her cheek. We both sat down, the waiter came over to us. We ordered our drink and food. I ordered French fries.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"For what?" I ask

"Making you feel uncomfortable." She answer

I made a little face, she continue "French fries is your comfort food, you just ordered a large plate of cheesy fries."

I bit my lips as I chuckled softly and said "its okay."

She smiled softly we gotten our drinks took a nice sip.

"Thank you for coming, was afraid you wasn't gonna show."

I nod my head as I said "thought crossed my mind."
She nod her head

"So what's this about?" I ask

She took a sip of her drink, can tell she's nervous about something. Than she said "our companies been doing a lot of hinting and pushing for you and I to do a song together."

I nod my head she's right about that she stutter a bit, took a deep breath

"I would love for us to work on a song together, you are truly gifted, your songs...I love them."

I gasp softly as I heard what she said, I stared at her.

"I wanted to ask you in person if I can have the honor of me working with you."

I thought for a moment, I opened my mouth and closed it as I chuckled softly licked my lips and bit them and said "I would love that."

I looked at her, and nod my head

"I would love to do a song with you." I said

I grin as she smiled staring at me. Then our food came we said a little prayer and began eating. Talking about random things

After that we both left on out. I told Simone about our lunch date. She was happy I was starting to come around.
