Ellie's POV
What a year this has been. My mom got pregnant and now I have a new baby sister Gracie. She is four months old and so adorable I love helping my mom take care of her. My dad's wedding is also in two weeks and it will be in Miami and it will be the first time my family meets Adam. Adam is my new boyfriend by the way. We have been dating for about a month and a half now. Adam looks exactly like Tyler Posey from Teen Wolf and he plays soccer at my school. I met him at a party and we hit it off. He isn't Austin nobody ever will be but I have to try and move on. I am still not the same since Austin and I broke up and it has been a year.
But I am also not the same girl. I dyed my blonde hair to brown. I still dress the same but since I am not really the same person I thought changing my hair color was a good idea. When I say I am not the same person I mean I feel so lost and confused and hurt. You see I do not talk to Alex, Zach, Robert, or Tyler anymore. Right after they graduated Tyler started dating this girl Whitney and he developed different intrests than all of us and he stopped talking to us so we stopped talking to him. I havn't herd from him since all I know is he goes to the same college as Sarah and Jackie. Sarah, Jackie and I are still really good friends. I just visited them last weekend at college and they seem like they are having a lot of fun. We call and text all the time and we skype at least once a week.
That was how Alex, Robert, Zach, and I were like until things changed. They now go to college in Miami. They decided to go there so they can hangout with Austin a lot. For thr first two months they were away we talked all the time but after a while they just stopped answering my texts, and calls. They made the choice to end our friendship and it hurts a lot. Without them in my life I feel so lost and confused and just hurt. I am still close with my other friends but it is a little hard because they all got accepted a year early to colllege and they all go to a school out in California. So basically all I have left at school is Claire, Riley, and Adam.
Austin released her first album earlier this year and it is really good. Now he is on his first world tour. He is still dating Stephanie and he has replaced me with Kendall Jenner as his new best friend. Of course he would she is so much prettier than me. Abby is good her and I are now posting videos of us on youtube and we are just acting silly. Her and Andrew are still dating and I am really happy for her. I checked twitter and saw Alex tweeted a link to a new video he just posted to youtube. It was him and Robert dancing and singing to 22 by Taylor Swift.
Great they are all back for spring break, I really hope I don't run into them. Everybody on twitter keeps tweetin me saying that Austin and I should get back together and honestly as of right now I don't think we should. To me right now all he is is an arrogant asshole. Anyways I still sing but I only do it for fun and I post covers on youtube. I am still playing basketball too. Well today was the last day of school before spring break and I am so happy to get out of that hell hole for a week and a half. Claire, Riley, and I are heading to McDonalds for some food. My hair was down and straightened and I had on my normal ammount of makeup. I was wearing skinny jeans, a floral blouse, a grey cardigan, and grey boots. We walked in and stepped into line to order. We all ordered and took a seat at a booth.
"So do we have any big plans for spring break?" Riley asked us smirking
"What do you want us to do? Be like the girls in spring breakers?" I asked her smirking
"Then we would have to get sucked into a drug ting and have guns." Claire said laughing
"I think we should just hangout a lot and just be our fun, goify selves and dance and just let loose." I said taking a sip of my milkshake
"Oh you will probaly spend a lot of time with Adam." Claire said making kissy faces at me, I threw a french fry at her
"Oh shut up! I'm sure he will be hanging out with his soccer buddies a lot." I said rolling my eyes
"Is this relationship with Adam different then what it was like with Austin?" Riley asked me
"I mean it's different because I am not dating superstar Austin Mahone. I am just dating a normal guy from a normal highschool. It is very low key." I replied
"Do you miss Austin at all?" Claire asked
"Alright what is all this talk about Austin?" I asked them confused
"It's just you don't seem as happy with Adam as you were with Austin." Riley said gently
"Look maybe you are right I don't know. Like sometimes it is really great with Adam but other times it is like I am settling and I do not want to settle." I said sighing
"Look nobody is ever going to compare to Austin because Austin was my first love. I just wish I could be completely over him." I said
"Well it is going to take a little more time because you and Austin were also friends for thirteen years before you guys started dating." Claire said getting up to throw away her trash
We all got up to leave and as I was leaving I wasn't looking where I was going and I ran right into a person.
"Oh my gosh I am so sorry." I quickly apologized
"It's ok." a familar voice replied
"Robert?" I asked looking up and sure enough it was him and Alex
"Ellie is that you? When did you dye your hair?" he asked me confused
"A month ago. I have to go now." I said trying to walk away
"Wait Ells we havn't seen or talk to you in forever and you are just going to blow us off like this?" He asked me
"I'm not the one who stopped responding to me! You guys all made me feel like shit, I don't owe you guys anything." I replied coldly grabbing Claire and Riley's hands and dragging them to my car. This is going to be a long spring break.
