Ellie's POV
The wedding was a lot of fun but now I am back to school and tonight is the big basketball game, it is the last one of the season and we have to win. I am currently on my way to meet my good friend Peyton Sanders at the local starbucks to catch up. I met Peyton a while ago when Austin was doing some music fest and we have been friends ever since. My hair was up in a messy bun and I was wearing white capris pants, grey converse sneakers, a grey long sleeve shirt, a light borwn leather jacket, and a huge grey scarf. I have on some light makeup considering we have a game later. I walked into starbucks and ordered and turned around to see Peyton sitting at a table on his phone.
"Hey what's up Psanders?" I asked him in my best rap voice
He bursted out laughing and gave me a hug "Hey Ells how are you?" he asked
"I'm doing really well. How have you been?"
"I've been doing great too. I just got done this promotional tour and I had a photoshoot here today and then I leave for home tomorrow, so I had to see my favorite girl before leaving." he said laughing
"Well I'm glad you did because I miss you! And I seriously am in love with all of your songs they are so sick."
"Haha thanks. So I see you dyed your hair." he said examining it
"Yeah I just wanted a change so I dyed it, do you like it?" I asked him
"Yeah I do it is a good color for you." he said smirking
"Haha thanks. So any new girls for you?" I asked him smirking
"Nah I'm living the single life for a while. I herd you and Austin dated for almost a year."
"Yeah we did but then we got into this huge fight and things ended badly. I havn't talked to him since and it has been a year. To be honest my hair color I changed it a couple months after we broke up because I was in a bad place but I am doing somewhat better now." I explained to him
"Wow I'm sorry I didn't know it was that bad. You know I am always here for you right?"
"Yeah I do but you know how I am I build up all these walls and shut people out. To be honest I didn't really feel like talking to anybody back then."
"Well at least you are better now. Do you think you and Austin will ever get back together?"
"Honestly I don't know if we did it would have to take a lot to make us work again, but I can't deal with that right now."
"Yeah I get it. I herd you have this huge basketball game tonight, good luck."
"Thanks I wish you could come we used to ball with eachother all the time." I said laughing
"Yeah I know we we would always school you." he said laughing too
"That's because you guys were always had height one me it wasn't fair. How is Dylan doing? I havn't talked to him in forever either."
"Deezy? He is doing good he is working on some new tracks too."
"You guys are going to go so far one day." I told him
"Thanks but you have potential too I see your videos on youtube you are such a sick singer Ells I never knew!" he exclaimed
"Haha thanks I don't think I am serious about my music like you guys are but I'm just having fun with it." I explained to him. He was about to say something but his phone buzzed.
"Darn it's my manager he needs me to come to the studio to lay down a new track, I'm really sorry Ellie I wish I could stay longer." he said getting up
"It's ok I have to get going to because of my game but it was good to see you we need to do this more often." I said walking out with him
"Yeah we do, I'll text you soon. Good luck at your game tonight and if you ever need help with Austin I am only a phone call away." he said giving me a hug
"Thanks and if you ever need to talk to somebody I am just a text away. And goodluck with your career you are going to be amazing. Bye Peyton." I said giving him one last hug
"Bye Ellie." he said before walking away

The basketball game was going great we were up by four points and there is less then a minute to go. Our next play was to throw a long a long pass. My friend Carly threw me the pass and me and my defender both jumped up to get it, we both collided with eachother and our heads smacked against eachother. I fell to the ground and the whole gym went silent. I wasn't moving so my coach and parents ran out onto the court.
"Ellie can you hear us?" My coach asked me but I tried to respond but I couldn't
The next thing I remember was Jim taking his shirt and wiping off blood from my forehead and my mom crying before everything went black.
Austin's POV
We just landed back in Texas and I am so happy to be here. We just got off the plane and Dave and I had to go to the bathroom so we ran there and now we are coming back trying to find my mom. We spotted her and she was talking on her phone and she was crying. She got off as soon as she saw me and I ran up to her and hugged her.
"Mom what's wrong?" I asked her confused
"Austin there has be been an accident." my mom sobbed
"What kind of accident?" I asked
"During Ellie's basketball game she collided with another girl and both of their heads collided together. Ellie's head smacked hard against the floor and there was a huge gash on her head and she was loosing a lot of blood. Her eyes were open but she was unresponsive. She passed out and the ambulence came and rushed her to Jefferson Memorial Hospital." my mom explained to me
"Is she going to be ok?" I choked out
"They don't know." my mom said shaking
"Well let's go then we have to go see her." I said grabbing my suitcase and sprinting out the door. Ellie has to make it, she has too I can't loose her again.
