When You Watch "Free!" With Him

A/N: Fuck, okay, so Haruka Nanase is my Husbando, so I couldn't resist. And I'm sure that most of the readers know the anime this is about. If not, then I shall give a brief summary. Free! is basically a show about swimmers, and it's literally 99% built on fanservice. I love it!! I mean, who wouldn't? It's the bomb.

Light Yagami

"{Y/N}," Light sighed, "Why're you making me watch this? I feel... Odd."

You glared at him. "Shut up and watch the show, Light I'm a Gay."

"It's my surname, okay? It's not like I can be like, 'I don't like this'. I was born into the name. Can't be blamed." He defended.

"Well, still. Just shut up and watch my swimming babies."

You blushed and stared as Haru was about to give Makoto mouth to mouth. You'd seen the episode several times, but always found yourself staring when that part came onto the screen.

"Holy shit," Light began, "Are they gonna-?"

"Shut up!!" You yelled, and at the same time, Makoto coughed up the water he'd swallowed. Thus ended the CPR scene. You glared daggers at Light. "Great. Now, I have to rewind the thing. Thanks, Light."

"You love me," he mumbled, and you clicked your tongue.

"Sure." You simply responded before replaying the part and watching it again, without interruptions this time.

L Lawliet

"But L," you whined, "They're so hot!!"

"{Y/N}," L said sternly, "This is the equivalent to me watching a Victoria's Secret commercial on loop for an hour. This is kinda creepy. Take it off."

"Yeah, well, that's me. You love me, right? It's just a show about shirtless swimmers!"

L groaned in annoyance, knowing that there was no way to win this battle. So instead he just quietly watched the episode with you, stealing occasional glances to see your cute and obsessive expressions.

At the end of it, you smiled at him. "Thanks for watching it with me."

He blushed as you lightly kissed his cheek, but then he smirked. "So watching this plotless show gets me this, huh? Maybe I should watch it with you more often."

"L!"

Mihael "Mello" Keehl

"Okay, I think that this is really fucking gay. Why're you watching this? There's like, a million other anime shows you could watch." Mello said.

"Oh, really? Other than hentai and OHSHC, name one anime that can make me blush and feel like all anime guys in the show are sexy. One anime." You challenged.

Mello raised his hands in surrender and went to the kitchen, grabbing two bars of chocolate. One for himself, and one for you.

"Here, then. Don't fangirl on an empty stomach." He mumbled, placing the bar in your hand.

You smiled and opened it, biting off a piece. "Well, Mel, I'll definitely need this. Thanks."

He gave you an unamused look and sat beside you, extending his arm behind you.

An episode or two later, he grit his teeth and threw his hands in the air. "Just kiss already, dammit!!"

You nodded. "Yeah, guys!! Make my ship sail!!"

The two of you ended up watching the entire first season together, both of you getting frustrated at the lack of making out. However, Mello ended up compensating for that later.

Mail "Matt" Jeevas

Matt pointed at the screen, making sure to specifically point to the characters. "He's a gay shark. He's just gay. He's gay, with fabulousness added. He's also gay, and practically a girl. And him... He's gay with a water fetish." He listed off, and you almost spit out the water you'd been drinking.

"How accurate. You're great at this." You laughed.

"I'm serious! There's even a love triangle; Green eyes loves blue eyes water lover, but blue eyes and red eyes with shark teeth have some lasting sexual tension from their past." He explained, and you smirked.

"Okay, what about Rei and Nagisa?" You challenged.

"Oh, they're straight up a couple. Butterflies is top. Girly-boy's too short to be on top. But there's some kinky shit goin' on between them. Like, BDSM or something."

"You have a very odd mind. You know that? I wasn't expecting you to enjoy this." You chuckled.

"Bitch, please, this is my want!! To spend time with my girlfriend while we judge anime characters!!"

You laughed and fell off the couch, holding your stomach, due to the laughing fits you were having.

Nate "Near" River

"{Y/N}, I don't feel comfortable watching this..." Near whispered as Haru began to take off his clothes for the millionth time.

"Why? This is the best," you said, not taking your eyes off the anime.

"This makes me feel... Gay." He mumbled, and you sighed.

"This doesn't make you gay, Near. You're watching it because of me. Now shut up and watch the damn show."

Near nodded and watched the episode out, but at the end, turned to you and pouted. "I still feel like watching that show was... Off."

You smiled and pulled him to you. "How about you check how straight you are, hm?" You teased, and like that, you were both revving and ready to go.

But after he made you promise not to make him watch Free! with him. Ever again.
