The BTS Song You Sing Together + The Reason Why

(A/N: As I've said before, I fell in love with BTS while I was on my recovery hiatus. In a way, they saved me and helped me recover from the sexual assault that happened last year. They all mean so much to me, and I'm happy to say that I'll be seeing them live on September 23rd, 2018! Now, I also said that my favourite members were Jungkook and Jimin, but now that I've fallen into ARMY Hell, and listened to the AGUST D mixtape... my bias is officially Min Yoongi. I own a body pillow and everything. Now, I made a chapter about your BTS song, but this is more of a what-song-you-sing-together kinda thing. Enjoy!!)

Song: Not Today

This song is upbeat and catchy as hell. The rap line in particular did amazing with this hype ass fucking song. It's about evading death, and how you're eventually going to be taken down by it, but just not today. Obviously, you and Light Yagami are on some druggie-ass beliefs that you can either evade or at least control your own death, and it goes hand-in-hand with this song. Light has more of the belief of immortality, but you still know, "Hey, I'm gonna fuckin' die one day." This song has a lot of feelings around the you-only-live-once mood.

L Lawliet

Song: Best of Me

L, being the workaholic he is, enjoys some of dat good ol' k-pop when he's working on a case from time to time. This is the perfect song for you two, and not just based on the lyrics. The lively rhythm and electronica music give both of you a rush of energy, and neither of you can help but dance. The lyrics, however, do relate to the two of you, because despite his flaws, L tries to give you the best of him. This song is about bringing out the good in yourself due to love, and that's exactly how L sees your relationship. You bring out the good in him, from expressing himself to simple social skills.

Mihael "Mello" Keehl

Song: 2! 3! (Still Wishing for More Good Days)

As all Death Note fans should know, Mello's an emotional guy, but he has a reason for it. Poor Mihael Keehl's been through a lot. So it's no surrpise that his music taste would reflect that. This particular song is about the hardships that BTS went through and how they want to help ARMY through their hardships by helping them "count one, two, three, and forget". Mello relates to this song because all his life, he was faced with the feeling of never being good enough, much like BTS. When he left Wammy's House, he was able to count to three and forget. You, on the other hand, you relate to this song for other reasons. The world was still unkind to you, but in a different way. Yes, you're a part of the mafia, but sometimes you hardly feel... human. And hearing others encourage you kind of assures you that, "Hey, you're not alone."

Mail "Matt" Jeevas

Song: Anpanman

Okay, so despite the obvious nerdy aspect, this really is the perfect song for you two to sing together, particularly Matt. His insecurities are laid out flat in the song, but his determination to "be your hero" and keep you safe is apparent. Matt really loves you, and despite the constant fear that you'll find someone better, it's through this song that he promises to love and protect you despite that fear. Such a sweetheart, isn't he? As for you, this song really reflects what you love about Matt. He's not very flashy, but he's earnest and true. You wouldn't trade him for the world, right? Because he's your own superhero.

Nate "Near" River

Song: Epilogue: Young Forever

Near isn't as level-headed and collected as he seems. This song directly relates to him because of his insecurities about his dream, which was succeeding L. Growing up, he thought that he was prepared, but it seemed that he was forced into the role too soon. After all, he was still a kid himself when L died, and yet he had to replace the role of being the World's Number One Detective. However, it's apparent that he couldn't, and wouldn't trade that job for anything else in the world, which is why he puts everything on the line while hunting for Kira. He might get hurt, but if it's for the greater good, and for giving L's job a good name, he'll try his best.
