Chapter 19: Farewell

Jaden and Luna sat in silence because neither of them knew what to say. Jaden finally turned to Luna and smiled,

"At least that's over.."

Luna smiled,

"At least for now...But tomorrow maybe we can.."

She was cut of by Jaden,

"Hang on there Luna. I actually think I should be heading home today.."

Luna sat there in shock,

"What?"

Jaden frowned,

"I love you Luna truly I do but my friends and my timeline needs me."

Tears began to fill Luna's eyes,

"But Jaden I..."

Luna began to cry and Jaden hugged her,

"Listen Luna this is not good bye forever I promise. But I really do have to leave.."

Luna didn't say a word but just nodded. Jaden hugged her tighter,

"Hey don't worry, I'll be back."

Luna pulled away from Jaden,

"Okay, as long as you come back.."

Jaden smiled,

"Or better yet, you could visit my school next time."

Luna smiled,

"I'd really like that.."

Jaden grinned,

"That's cool then we will plan on that."

At that moment, Yubel appeared next to Jaden as did Winged Kuriboh. Yubel smiled,

"That shall indeed be a wonderful time"

Jaden blushed and gave Yubel embarrassed look,

"Yubel! Stop it!"

Yubel smiled,

"Okay..sorry Jaden"

Jaden looked back to Luna with a smile,

"I think it's time for me to go Luna."

Luna hugged Jaden once more and then she smiled,

"I'll see you soon."

Jaden smiled and gave her a wink,

"Oh course you will, see ya"

A flash of red right filled the room and he was gone. Luna went downstairs and saw Akiza talking to Yusei. Akiza looked at Luna with a smile,

"Where's Jaden?"

Luna looked down,

"He left..."

Akiza stood there in shock,

"Really?"

Luna nodded and Yusei frowned,

"Well it was probably about time he got back to his timeline."

Akiza shot him an angered glance and then turned back to Luna,

"It's okay Luna, you'll see him again."

Luna nodded, 

"I sure hope so.."

~Meanwhile at Duel Academy~

Jaden ended up outside of the Slifer Red dorm and he sighed and began his walk to his room but a voice caught his attention,

"Hey Jaden!!"

Next thing he knew he was on the ground with Jesse on top of him. Jaden laughed,

"Hi Jesse, could you please get off me?"

Jesse smiled and laughed,

"Yeah sure, sorry bout that."

Jaden stood up and dusted himself off,

"It's cool Jesse..."

Jesse smiled,

"So how was the trip?"

Jaden shrugged,

"It was okay I guess."

Jesse frowned,

"What's bothering you Jaden? You Know I can always tell when somethings up with you."

Jaden sighed and told Jesse about what had taken place in Yusei's timeline. He talked about Luna and Supreme King and all the other things that had happened. Jesse sighed and put a hand on Jaden's shoulder,

"That's one hard couple of days."

Jaden nodded and sighed,

"But the worst part was leaving her.."

Jesse frowned,

"You'll see her soon Jaden, it's just a matter of time."

Jaden sighed,

"Isn't that always the case?"

Jesse smiled,

"I know what will cheer you up old pal, a good old duel with me!"

Jaden instantly smiled and laughed,

"Alright Jesse your on!"

They pulled out their Duel Disks and cards and Jaden gave a big grin,

"It's time to get my game on!!!!"
