I awake with a startle. I glance around the third floor of the drop ship and realize that there's no one else left up here, compared to the time I fell asleep when the entire floor was covered with people trying to sleep. Rays of sunshine glimmer through the tiny window in the drop ship. I must have been asleep for a couple of days or so. Bellamy is no longer beside me.
I lift the sleeping bag cover off of me and stand up, stretching out my limbs. The aching of my head and the rest of my body parts from the night of the hurricane is gone, thankfully.
I lift the door open and climb down the ladder to the bottom floor. The bottom floor was basically deserted, aside from the few delinquents in the back cooking up something or another.
I walk out of the drop ship door and am met with the blinding light of the sunshine. I immediately covered my eyes with my hand and looking around the camp. The water that was brought here by the hurricane is completely frozen solid. At that point I realize how cold it is. It seriously must have dropped like 30 degrees since the storm.
"Tatum!" Clarke says, surprisingly walking up to me. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm good." I laugh. "How long have I been out?"
"Two days." She says, patting my shoulder. "You really must have hit your head pretty hard."
I laugh lightly before gazing around at everyone. The 100 are using pieces of metal to chip and scrape away at the ice. Monty, Jasper, and a load of other kids are sorting (and eating) some kind of nuts.
When I turn back around, Clarke is gone. The storm definitely didn't slow her down. I shrug it off and walk over to Jasper and Monty.
"Hey, boys." I say, peering over into the basket of nuts they're sorting.
"Tatum!" They both said at the same time.
"You're alive." Jasper laughs.
I laugh. "Unfortunately."
"What are these things?" I ask picking up one of the nuts and examining it.
"We don't really know." Monty says. "Maybe a cashew or something. They're really good." Monty pops one in his mouth.
I watch Jasper and Monty for a while. Yes, I'm used to their goofiness, but today it seemed heightened. I place the nut back into the basket, deciding not to eat it.
I shiver, goose bumps forming on my skin from the chilly wind sweeping through the camp. I walk back into the drop ship to find an extra jacket to put on. As I walk in, I walk in on a very important conversation between Bellamy and Clarke.
"The Ark found some old records that show a supply depot not too far from here." Clarke explains, her face showing a mixed emotion between stressed and relieved.
I walk over, quietly, to the pile of extra clothing and find a black leather jacket. I unfold it and push my arms through the sleeves. The warmth of the leather immediately grasping me.
"Tatum?" Bellamy's voice rises. "You're awake." He chuckles running over to me and engulfing me with a tight hug. He wraps his arms around my waist and slightly lifts me off the ground. I wrap my arms around his neck and breathe in his scent.
"Yeah." I breathe, showing a smile I couldn't force back down.
"I missed you so much." Bellamy whispers, placing me back down on the ground.
"It's been two days, Bell." I say sarcastically.
"I know, I just-" Bellamy begins.
Clarke clears her throat. "The supply depot." She reminds.
"Oh, yeah," I say pushing Bellamy slightly back and walking over to Clarke, Bellamy following me. "What kind of supplies are in it?"
"The kind that might give us a chance to live through winter." Clarke says. "I need you two to come with me."
"I'll get my stuff, I say we meet at the gates in ten." I say.
Clarke nods and Bellamy follows me to our tent. I pull back the flap of the tent and enter it, picking up a small sac and filling it up with essentials.
Suddenly, I feel strong arms wrap around me and pull me near them.
"Bellamy!" I giggle, turning in his arms. "Wow, you really did miss me."
Bellamy chuckles. "Yeah, I really did."

The crunching of the leaves under my feet as I walk through the forest is just another sign of winter coming. The whole "winter" thing honestly scares me. It could possibly get down to the negative degrees out here and God knows that we don't have the supplies for that kind of temperature. We'd all surely freeze to death.
Clarke leads us, a few yards in front of Bellamy, who is in front of me. The sac I'm carrying and all the knives I have stocked on my body are beginning to weigh me down.
"You know," Clarke says, breaking the never-ending silence between us. "the first dropship is gonna come down soon." Clarke turns towards Bellamy. "Pretty sure you can't avoid Jaha forever."
"I can try." Bellamy growls.
I roll my eyes. As much as I love Clarke, she really does know what buttons to push with Bellamy.
Clarke suddenly stops and peers around at our surroundings. "The depot is supposed to be around here somewhere."
"There's got to be a door." I say, peering at all the grassy hills.
Clarke avoids the subject. "Maybe he'll be lenient."
"Look, Clarke," Bellamy says, his tone rising.
"Bellamy.." I warn, giving him the 'don't say anything you'll regret later' look.
"Clarke, I shot the man. He's not just gonna forgive and forget." Bellamy huffs. "Let's just split up, cover more ground."
I go to walk with Bellamy, but he looks at me and shakes his head, obviously needing to blow off some steam. He looks at me and says "Stay within shouting range."
I nod and turn to walk the opposite way with Clarke.
Silence took the two of us over. Clarke and I used to be best friends on the Ark. But here, on the ground, it's different. We have different priorities. We've changed.
"You're mother asked to speak to you today." Clarke says.
My head immediately turns to look at her. "What did the bitch want?"
"Hey, take it easy." Clarke says, her eyes scrunching together. "She misses you...a lot."
"Yeah, well, she sent me down here to die, so she must not be missing me that much." I fire back.
"Tatum, it wouldn't hurt to just sit down and talk to her." Clarke says.
"It wouldn't hurt her, but it would hurt me."
Clarke goes to ask what I meant but stops. "Do you see that?"
"Is that a door?" I ask, looking at a moss covered door frame looking thing.
"I think it is." Clarke smiles, picking up her pace of walking towards it.
We get to the door and I grab the handle, turning it and attempting to pry it open.
"Need some help?" Clarke asks.
I nod and move over to give her room.
"One, two, three." I say. We both pull on the door and with a POP, it opens.
"Bellamy!" I yell. "We found something!"
