Connecting The Dots

Prologue

I was eating breakfast while I waited for Emily to text me. As I was eating I heard my phone go off and saw Emily texted me. I excitedly pulled my phone out of my pocket and quickly replied.

Emily: are all your things packed?

Emily: and has the moving truck arrived yet?

Me: Yeah and yeah

Emily: okie, should I come over now?

Emily: also are your parents coming, mine are

Me: YESS COME NOW

Me: and yeah they're coming

Me: my mom won't stop crying....

Emily: Literally same and okie see you soon

 Today was the day me and Emily were going to Trost University of Detectives (TDU for short). I told my mom Emily and her family were on there way. I started to help my parents put my new furniture in the moving truck. Once all the stuff got ready I got in my car and waited till I saw Emily come by. Once we all were ready we drove off for the 2 hour drive towards our new life.

We arrived at the apartments me and Emily would be staying in. Once we all parked our cars Emily and I both ran inside and got the keys, after we got the keys we ran to the elevator and went to the fifth floor. We walked down to our apartment labeled 524. When our parents finally caught up to us they walked in the room and started to tear up. "Wow I can't believe this, Emily and I now both have our own apartment" I thought as I turned and smiled at my very proud parents. We hired the movers to assemble everything because if we built it lets just say we would be sleeping on the floor tonight... Our parents both said we should go buy food like fruits and vegetables because according to them you can't live off of cake and kool-aid jammers.

After all the furniture was built it was around 5:30pm so we all thought it was a good idea to go out for our last meal together for a while. After we all ate we started to say goodbye. Both my mom and my dad were crying which made me want to cry as well. "Don't get into trouble, pay attention in class and do the best that you can" My mom said to me before hugging me and crying. "I will, I promise" I said before hugging my dad. "Im so proud of you" my dad said before hugging me and trying not to cry. "I love you" I said holding back my tears, "I love you too" my parents say in unison. I look at Emily who is saying her goodbyes as well. "Drive safe" Emily and I both said at the same time. They got in there cars and drove off. Now Emily and I were alone to live our lives however we wanted to. We wiped our tears away and walked inside our new apartment ready to start our new lives.
