"KAYLA I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING!'" Emily Screamed at me as she put a cup into the cupboard

"What?!" I yelled back, putting some forks and knives away.

"WE OWN THIS APARTMENT AND EVERYTHING IN IT! WE HAVE TO BUY EVERYTHING OURSELVES AND TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES! WE HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE!" Emily screamed as she put her hands to her head.

"OH NO! I WASN'T MADE TO BE RESPONSIBLE!" I yelled at Emily. "You know what. I think we should take a break and play some video games".

"I agree" Emily smiled running into the living room and jumped on the couch.

After playing video games for what felt like only an hour, Emily checked the time and it was 2:12 in the morning. We both agreed to go to bed and finish unpacking in the morning.

I woke up about 10 minutes before Emily and decided to wake her up by shaking her. "What time is it...?" Emily groaned pulling the covers up to her chin.

"It's 6:15!" I exclaimed standing up.

"Why the fuck are you waking me up at the most ungodly hour?!" Emily complained going completely under the covers.

"We're going to my favorite bakery! you know the one I'm going to be working at! I'm always the first one there! C'mon it opens soon!" I exclaimed, pulling the covers to the end of the bed.

She glared at me and rolled her eyes. "Fine." She mumbled tiredly. "You better buy me coffee."

"Deal!" I squealed skipping out of her room.

I waited for what felt like hours for Emily to get ready and finally she came out of her room. "YAY YOU'RE READY LETS GO!" I squealed pulling her out the door. I dragged her all the way to the car

Emily closed her eyes and fell asleep again. "EMILLLLLLYYYYYY WE'RE HEEREEEEE!" I squealed excitedly. "And I got you  your coffee."

Emily took the coffee and got out of the car. We looked at the building. It was a cute, small, vintage shop, with the name Cutie Cakes written in blue, whit, and pink pastel window that displayed some cakes and cupcakes. "WHAT?!" I shrieked, freezing in place. My hands were over my mouth and I started hyperventilating a little.

"umm Kayla..? You okay..?" She asked me.

"WE AREN'T THE FIRST ONES HERE!" I screamed pointing to the two men in the shop.

"..Okay..?" Emily sighed walking inside.

"How aren't we the first ones here?!" I'm always the first one here!" I whisper-yelled.

"Kayla?" The cash worker asked, as we walked up to her.

"Oh hey Candi! I didn't know you were working today!" I smiled energetically. "Em, this is my boss Candi. Candi, this is my roommate and best friend Emily."

They smiled and shook hands. Me and Candi talked while I picked out cupcakes for us to eat. Emily left and sat at a table and laid her head down.

"How could you be sleeping when there's so many different kinds of cupcakes to choose from?!" I exclaimed, opening the box of assorted cupcakes. "WAIT! I'll be right back! I want to see what else they have!" I got up and ran to the food.

I was running back and forth looking at all the food, and before I knew it I banged right into something... WAIT! It wasn't a something it was a someone! "Oh crap sorry!" I said shyly. I heard Emily groan in embarrassment.

I was talking to the guy who I had bumped into and he seemed nice. "I'm so sorry for bumping into you." I said trying to hide my embarrassment. "Don't worry about it.." He said in a calm quite voice. "My names Kayla!" I said holding out my hand, "I'm Ryuzaki, is she okay?" He asked referring to Emily. "oh her? She's fine just tired!" I exclaimed, giggling. Me and Ryuzaki walked over to our table. "Emily don't be so rude! Say hi to my new friend and his friend!" I flicked her head to get her attention

She sat up and groaned as she looked at the men with me. "Sorry about her she's not the best at socialising." I giggled happily.

"It would help if you didn't wake me up at six in the morning." She said rolling her eyes.

"I woke you up at six fifteen actually." I stated.

big difference she stated.

"Anyways, Emily this Ryuzaki!" I smiled, gesturing to the man who sits weirdly." And this is.. Wait! You never told me your name.." She said to the other man. "Levi." He said rolling his eyes.

I saw Emily roll her eyes too. "Tch. What are you rolling your eyes at?" Levi questioned narrowing his eyes.

"you." She stated rolling her eyes again. "Tch. Whatever." He said rolling his eyes.

"OOOKAAAY! Lets not fight! So, Ryuzaki, care to explain why you got here before me? I'm always the first one here." I asked trying to change the subject.

"Well I happen to love cake quite a bit, I always like being the first to get here. I'm guessing you are the same?" Ryuzaki answered taking a bite of his cupcake.

"Yeah! I LOVE cake! Plus this bakery is my favorite so I HAVE to come here. Thankfully, I got a job here so I can come an hour early when I work the morning shifts, unfortunately that won't be so often since I have to go to school in the morning." I sighed taking a bit of cupcake. "Hey Ryuzaki..? Why do you sit like that?"

"If I were to sit normally my deductive skill would immediately be reduced by roughly 40%" Ryuzaki explained, running his thumb over his bottom lip.

Wow he must be really smart I thought to myself.

"Kayla we should finish unpacking, school starts tomorrow and so do our jobs, which means we won't have as much time to get everything organized." She sighed finishing her coffee.

"I guess your right.." I sighed standing up. "It was nice to meet you, Ryuzaki."

"The pleasure's all mine. I hope to see you around sometime." He said smiling a little.

I looked at Emily who was rolling her eyes at Levi. We walked to my car and got in. "They seem nice." I smiled and started driving home. "Yeaaah Levi seems amaaaazing." Emily smirked sarcastically.

"I'm sure he just needs time to warm up and it is also seven thirty in the morning, not a lot of people are morning people." I retorted. "I mean just look at you" I giggled.

She sighed looking out the window "I guess.."
