Chapter 11: Friends again?

  Myles'POV

   "So? Are you going to answer me?" I say impatiently "It's because of my sister.." She says still crying. "What is Briar?" "I had to pretend I don't like you because she likes you, she's my sister I can't hurt her, no matter how much I like you Myles I just can't" So she does like me! That's amazing, it's incredible, I think she's the sweetest thing I've ever met. I hug her and she smiles. "It's okay Bri I understand, but next time just tell me, do you know how much pain you've made me go through, I really like you Briar and the thought of you not liking me it just broke my heart" I said almost crying as well.

 Briar's POV

  I feel horrible, I made him feel bad, I should have just talked to him about it, but he still likes me. "So now what do we do?" He asks. "I don't know but there isn't much we can do Myles, my sister kissed you she thinks you like her, you are even her date for tonight's party" I said. "Yeah, this is all my fault, I should have talked to you first instead of saying yes to her, instead of saying all those things, I'm so sorry Briar, I'm so sorry I hurt you and made you cry, I promise I'll never do that again." He said hugging me. "Aww Myles thanks, but I'm the one who should apologize, I made you hurt, and I hurt myself" I replied. "I love you Briar" he said. "Me too, but Myles, I can't do this to Abbey." I say. "Hey it's okay,  Briar I love you and I'll wait for you for as long as it takes"

   Myles was really sweet and he knew just the things to say. "So are we friends again?" I asked. "No" he replied. "Oh" "We're best friends Briar and I won't let anything change that." I hugged him again, I felt so much better knowing that he forgave me, that he knows the truth and that everything will be okay. "Don't worry about Abbey I have an idea." He said. "What is it?" "Let's go back, you'll find out later" he said. Myles and I went back to the music room were Abbey was doing a solo. "Hey Briar, are you okay? You've been in the bathroom for half an hour" she said hugging me. Myles and I both started laughing and Abbey just looked at us with a confused face.

  Myles' POV

  I was so happy, now that I know the truth, I just had to talk to Abbey without making her be mad at Briar. "Listen Abbey about the party....Trevor, Brittany, Briar and I always go as a group we don't do dates, if later you would want to dance it would be fine but I can't be your date" I said. Briar smiled at me and I smiled back. "That's okay Myles, I would love to go with you, my sister, Brittany and Trevor". I was so glad that everything was sorted out, but I was even happier now that Briar and I have something, we might not be together but we can be in the future, I've never felt like this for any other girl.

   We finished the trio and it looked great, instead of kissing we did hugging, so we wouldn't make things more awkward but Briar and I are working well together again, just like we used to. After rehearsals I went to my room since it was getting late and the party was going to start in two hours. As I enter I see Trevor and give him a bro hug.

   "Why you so happy bro?" He asked. "Briar admitted she likes me bro, she actually said it" I said as I did a back flip. "Woah what?" he said with a huge laugh. "So you two are together now?" He asked. "Not exactly, Abbey has feelings for me and Briar pretended she doesn't like me so that she wouldn't break her heart so we decided to remain friends.....For now" I said as I turned on the shower.

  Briar's POV

   I couldn't wait to tell Brittany what just happend! I ran to my room, I had a couple of minutes to talk to Brittany alone since Abbey wanted to practice a bit more. "Brittany! Brittany! You won't believe this!" I said as I stormed into our room and hugged her. "You told Abbey and Myles the truth?" She asked. "Myles yes, Abbey no. I saw them kiss so I ran off crying, Myles came after me and he saw Tess and Julie bully me and he told Tess that he would do whatever it takes in order to protect me and he told me that he still likes me, so I told him the truth and he forgave me, we're just friends but we both like each other a lot and I'm so happy!" I said as I got in the bathroom and turned on the shower. 

   "Briar that's incredible!" Brittany said from outside the door. After I showered I put on some make up and wore my favorite black dress (picture above). Abbey and Brittany were both so pretty "I can't wait to get to the party!" I said excitedly "Me neither" Brittany said. Honestly, I couldn't wait to see Myles but I wasn't going to say that in front of my sister, but I think Brittany understood what I wanted to say because she just stared at me with an 'I know who it is you want to see' face.

  Myles' POV

   After Trevor and I put on our suits we walked together to the girls' room, because we were going all together, I couldn't wait to see Briar, mostly because I had a surprise for her. "Wow Britt you look...Wow" Trevor said speechless, she really did look pretty but for me Briar was the most beautiful one out of them. Briar and I just kept staring at each other for a while until Abbey interrupted us. "Wow Myles you look great" she said hugging me "Yeah you too" I replied...Only I wasn't looking at Abbey but I was looking at Briar.

   We all went outside the boarding house and walked to the beach, all of our parties happend at the beach, I really liked that. We all danced a lot and the only time we stopped dancing was to either drink something or chat, I was really happy to be friends with Briar again. "Okay everyone, pick up your partner and get ready to dance slow....y'know because this is a slow dance" Lamar said laughing. I looked at Briar and walked over to her but Abbey grabbed my hand. "Wanna dance?" She asked. I looked at Trevor and he mouthed 'don't worry bro I got this' Hey Abbey can you teach me how to slow dance? I want to dance with Brittany but I don't know how and I don't want to make a fool out of myself" he said. 

   "Can't you just ask Briar?" She said. "Nahh man I want you to teach me, don't tell her I said this but Briar stinks at slow dancing" I laughed a little, I really do have the bestest friend in the world.I walked towards Briar and took her hand, we walked to a corner of the beach where no where would have seen us, I kind of wanted to be alone with her even if it was just for a while. "You're wearing my necklace" I said smiling as we were dancing. "Yeah I never take it off" she said smiling back "even the diary you gave me, I write on it everyday" she said. "Hope you write good things about me in there" I said as I winked at her. She laughed and we just danced in silence for a while.

Briar put her head on my shoulder and she was so close to me that I could hear her heart beat. "Briar I need to tell you something" I said "what is it?" she said as she looked at me. "Briar I know we said that we'd be just friends, but there's something I've been dying to do" I said as I stepped closer to her. "then do it" she said smiling. I was really nervous but I was dying to kiss her...And this time without having her running away from me. "Sure you won't run away?" She smiled "You talk to much" she said as she leaned in and kissed me....She did it, she kissed me, I couldn't believe it

Briar's POV

Yes we agreed to be just friends, but I owed him a kiss after all he did for me. As we pulled away and smiled at each other and Myles bit his lower lip, he was really cute when he did that, also because it meant he was nervous, he always did that when he was nervous. Right after the kiss we literally fireworks blowing off from behind the beach, the principal wanted to surprise us by blowing some fireworks it was literally the most magical moment ever and I never was to forget my first kiss with Myles.

N/A: Don't worry guys this isn't the end, it may look like it's the finale but it's not, there are still a couple more chapters for the book to end but I hope you are enjoying the book so far!!
