Part Nineteen - Worrying

Ari's POV

"Ari? You okay?" Julio asked over TeamSpeak.

"Yeah...fine." I sighed.

"Liar." Devon said. "Speak, child."

"I'm just worrying. It's stupid." I told them.

"I doubt it's stupid." Will cut in.

"Fine, I'm just, freaking out that graduation is in like, a week. I know I've got college all figured out and stuff, but what about all of you guys? We're all going our separate ways, what if we stop talking?" I rambled.

"That's not going to happen." Julio said. "I don't think any of us will let that happen."

"Yeah, maybe we won't talk as often but it's not like we're going to just stop." Devon said.

"Yeah..." I said quietly.

"Now, how are things going with Grape?" Will quickly changed the subject.

"Um, good?" I answered. "We had a nice night at dinner and stuff and then we played laser tag." I told them.

"I heard you guys made out in the laser place." Julio said.

"No! We just kissed! You guys are such gossipers." I told them.

"You don't think we know that?" Devon asked. "You guys are so shipped. Just get together already."

I sighed. "What now?" Will asked. "Come on Ari, what could be wrong now?"

"I don't know...I'm just worried that...Nevermind. It's stupid." I told them and went quiet.

"Do not make me come over there and slap you." Devon said.

"Fine, fine." I laughed a bit. "I don't know, we're in high school. We are graduating so soon too, and sometimes high school romances don't last. I don't want to mess anything up that could be something." I said.

"BS." Julio said. "You guys are, like, perfect. I don't think a little bit of long distance would harm you guys."

"I mean, how are you with your friends you left at your old schools?" Will asked.

"Not very close anymore. I'm not good with staying in touch." I told them.

"Well, Sean is, so he would make you talk. You guys would be the best couple around here!" I could just hear Devon smile.

"Uh, I doubt that." I laughed.

"You're so stubborn. Get some sleep and ask him out tomorrow." Julio said.

"But-"

"I don't care what you say lalalala! Hashtag Sari will live!" And Julio logged off.

"What do you guys think?" I asked quietly.

"It's up to you Ari. You can go for him now, or give it time and let fate decide." Devon said. "Night guys."

"Night." Will and I said at the same time.

"Any suggestions?" I asked.

"Do you like the idea of being with him?" Will asked.

"I- I don't know." I admitted.

"Then give it time." He said. "I'll see you tomorrow."

I pulled out a book to start reading, but was cut off to my computer talking again.

User has joined your channel

"Ari? Surprised to see you on right now." Sean's voiced echoed through my speakers.

I forced a small laugh. "Yeah, same to you."

"Can't sleep." Sean said. "You?"

"Me either, too much on my mind."

"What are you thinking about?" He asked.

"Oh, it's not important." I lied. "I should go, though, see you later." And signed off.

"What do you think you're even doing?" Liam ran after me.

"I-" I stopped myself, but continued to walk away.

"Come on, let's go back to the group." Liam caught up with me.

"I don't want to." I argued.

"Too bad- we all love you too much to let you just leave us like that. Come on, school is almost over, let's have some fun for once!" He smiled, trying to convince me.

I groaned and gave in. "Fine." I said and let him drag me away.

After a minute of walking back into the school I found us going into a classroom to find our group of friends.

"I found Ari." Liam smiled.

"Where did you go?" Maddie asked.

I shrugged, not really in the mood to answer, and everyone seemed to brush it off.

We were just kinda sitting around, chatting about random things as a few people went on computers to be their nerdy selves to play Minecraft. We needed an extracurricular for this year, so we decided on a gaming club. And earlier in the year, a few guys and girls tried to join, but soon left as they realized that we were 'weird.'

I was okay with that, though, and so was the rest of the group. We might even classify as the outcasts- and I'm okay with that as well.

"Alright guys, last day of school, we're all coming over to my house for a celebration, yeah?" Sean asked the group.

Everyone answered with something along the lines of "of course!" And "can't wait" or "it's gonna be awesome!"

I ended up having some fun at the after school club after getting over my weird mood- and I really enjoyed it.

Later that night I received a text in a group chat that consisted of Parker, Tybzi and I.

To: AREH, PARKER GAMES
Ari, are you and grape together? I'm so confused.

To: Tybz, PARKER GAMES
no, we've just gone out once. We're not really together.

From: PARKER GAMES
To: Tybz, AREH
see Tybzi that's what I told you

Oh sorry. I was curious. I just assumed since you guys always seem to be around each other.

It's cool. I don't know if it's even our best idea to get together with school ending soon.

Not sure on that one :P.

I didn't really feel the need to respond, so I just set my phone on my bed and went downstairs to go eat dinner with my little family.
