Part Fourteen- Crashing Down

Ari's POV
[friday]

I had received a text from an unknown number to check Twitter.

It was a random username I didn't recognize.

"Meet Daisy: Ariana Long. Lives in California, and goes to high school with a big part of The Cube." Attached was a picture of me.

What?

Luckily, it didn't seem like it had gotten much attention. Only a few retweets and favorites, and it wasn't a popular account. I reported the account and tweet and soon enough, it was taken down.

I think I'm safe.

So, I got ready for my date. He said casual, but I was going to wear a navy dress and leggings, and flats. I'm a girl, I wanted to look nice for a first date type of thing.

As much as I tried to think about Sean, that whole tweet thing kept coming back into my mind.

When I was just about finished getting ready, my phone began to blare my ringtone.

Maddieeeeee. It read.

I picked it up. "Hey!" I said.

She began to talk really fast and sounded worried. "Whoa, whoa calm down. What's wrong?" I asked.

"We've got a problem." It sounded like Julio had the phone now.

"What's the problem?" I said.

"Well, our Twitter accounts were hacked." He said in one breath.

"....and?" I was scared for the answer.

Julio sighed. "Pictures of us were posted. Our names are out. People know us, Ari." He said.

"Oh-oh my god. No, I didn't want anyone to find out this is horrible what are we gonna do I'm gonna have to end my channel and everyone knows I'm a lair!" I said.

There was a knock at my door, and I answered it to reveal Sean. I was still on the phone with Julio, so he walked in silently. "Ari, it's gonna be alright." He said.

I took a deep breath. "I gotta go, Julio. I'm going out tonight."

I'm pretty sure I could hear Julio's smile over the phone. "Have fun on your date." And he hung up.

"What's up?" Sean asked, I'm guessing because of the worried look on my face.

I didn't reply and pulled twitter up on my phone. My account picture had been changed to a picture that seemed to be taken as if someone was standing a distance away from me and on my right side.

Then, I went to the rest of my friend's profiles. The same thing has happened to them. All the pictures where changed, and the names were changed to our real names.

This was freaky.

"Whoaaaaaa, what the heck?" Sean asked over my shoulder. "I never changed my profile."

"Julio says all of us were hacked." I said quietly, beginning to change back my picture and name.

"O-oh." Sean said.

I shrugged. "Whatever. I'll deal with that later, let's just get going."

And so we did.

~a few days later~

I sat down in front of the camera. I have been dreading making this video, but with the past events, I had to.

I turned on the camera and pressed record. I smiled, it was weird seeing my face on the screen.

"Hi guys." I said. I took a deep breath. "So, today, we're gonna have a talk." I was so, so scared.

"Most of you know me as Daisy, a minecraft Youtuber whose got a ton of internet friends." I said. "Well, today, I'm gonna tell you the truth." I sighed.

"My name is actually Ariana. But, I got by Daisy, it is my middle name. And, I just prefer to be called that." I smiled. "This is indeed what I look like."

"And here's the reason why I'm doing this: someone hacked me on Twitter and exposed me. I felt kind of obligated to make this video for you guys. This way, no one could have any blackmail against me, and no one would pester me at school if they knew. I just felt this was better." I told the camera.

"I don't think anyone realizes how hard this is for me to do, guys. Seriously, I've had to deal with bullies, liars and haters basically all my life. And I'm actually really scared to post this. But I decided it was time to tell the truth, so therefore, this happened."

"I think this is going to be the only video I post with my face. Thanks for watching guys, I'll catch you in the next video." I sighed and turned off the camera.

And before I could change my mind I uploaded it to YouTube, raw cut and everything.

I got out my phone.

but I'm here.

I would like to apologize for being MIA for the last few weeks. School has been up my ass and I've been stressed with writing. Hopefully I can get back on a schedule but, you never know. Stuff can always get in the way.
