Part 51

Shania’s POV

I visited Sophia everyday making sure she was alright. I was so worried about her. Luckily nothing bad was damaged, just a bump on the head.. A hard bump. She has been taken to Tahiti as that’s the closet hospital as they don’t have a hospital here at Bora Bora.

I walked into her room this time with Andy and Jay with me. I twisted the door knob and we all walked in together. I closed the door behind me and when I looked at Sophia I saw her crying her eyes out.

I rushed to her side and pulled her into a hug.

‘Am I not good enough or something?’ she cried. I knew exactly what she was talking about. I know how she feels.

‘Of course not. I’m sure there is a perfect explanation for it’ I reassured her and I hoped there was.

‘We brought you something Sophia’ Jay reached for the basket he brought and handed it to her. She gave him a weak smile and looked inside.

‘We went to the bakery and got you some biscuits’ he continued.

‘You’re too kind Jay’ she said while he was hugging her.

‘Uh..’ Andy awkwardly spoke. I laughed.

‘You okay Sophia?’ he continued.

‘Yeah, I get released today but..’

Me: ‘But what?’

‘I’m getting the first flight back to England when I do..’

My jaw automatically opened in shock.

Me: ‘WHAT?’

‘I can’t deal with Joel right now. I need to get my head straight, besides my work called me in for some important meeting’

I was speechless. She is leaving? And all because of her own husband!

‘I’m leaving Louie with Joel’ she said breaking the silence.

‘Don’t you want to take him home with you?’

‘No, I mean I do, but I think Joel should look after him.. While I’m sorting myself out’

I just nodded. And then a doctor walked in..

‘Sophia, your flight leaves in an hour’ he smiled at her.

‘Thanks’

She got up off the bed and gave us all a hug. I didn’t want her to go, plus this holiday was hers and Joel’s idea.

‘Look, if you see Joel, could you give this to him’

She handed me a letter. I smiled.

Me: ‘Sure’

I saw a tear drop down her face.

‘Don’t cry!’ Andy said pulling her into a big bear hug.

She laughed. Then her smile dropped to a frown.

‘I think I should go now’ I just nodded.

We went with Sophia to the airport and gave her a goodbye hug. She already has her luggage as someone collected it from her room earlier.

Me: ‘Where are you going to stay?’

‘My mums’

Me: ‘Oh okay’

Sophia’s flight was ready for boarding and she waved us all goodbye.

‘Sophia wait!’ Jay shouted running up to her. She bent down to his height.
