LaNiyah

While everyone was on vacation I moved out of my parents house. I needed space away from them, and getting my own place was the only option. I bought a two-story 3 bedroom condo. When I first saw this place I immediately fell in love with it. It wasn't too big but not too small either.

I turned my phone off after a couple of days cause my mother and the girls were blowing my phone up. I knew that today was the day that everyone would be coming back home so I decided to finally turn my phone on. And just as suspected my phone started blowing up. Text messages and voicemails asking me where the hell I was and where all my stuff was. At first I wasn't going to answer or call back until I listened to a voicemail from my mother. She was crying and sounded worried so I decided that I needed to give her a call and let her know that I was alright. She picked up on the first ring.

"LaNiyah! Are you ok? Where are you? Where's your stuff? Are you hurt?" she rambled, making me smile. God how I love this woman.

"Mami, I'm fine. Calm down."

"Where are you?"

"I'm at home"

"Home? What are you talking about?" I could hear my father in the background until he got on the phone.

"Where the hell you at LaNiyah?!" I could tell that he was pissed cause it sounded like he was talking through clenched teeth.

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine."

"So this is how you deal with shit? By leaving?"

"You damn right! I'm not going to continue to live under your roof when I can't even trust you! I've been lied to and hurt so much in the past couple of months and you know what? You, your sons and Cruz were the reason for it all! You and Cam were the reason why Cruz and I didn't work out, and all of yall were the reason I had to kill Mari. You try to control everything and never do you actually think about how that is going to effect me! I need to be away from y'all cause y'all cause me the most pain. I've been living with y'all my whole life and now is time for me to be on my own and focus on me.

I didn't hear anything in return, until my mother got back on the phone.

"You're father is pissed. What did you say to him?"

"Exactly what he needed to hear. I'm tired of holding back my feelings to save everyone else's."

"Good cause you shouldn't. Anyways, where are you staying?"

"How about me, you and the girls go out for lunch then I'll bring yall by here?"

"That works for me"

"I'll be there in 45 minutes" and with that we hung up.

I called the girls and told them to meet us at Mike's Diner. After i got dressed I headed over to pick up my mother. When I got there I called her to let her know I was outside. While I waited Mac came out the house. Once he saw me he got in the passenger seat.

"What are you doing?"

"Damn I can't get a hi?"

"Hi Mac. Now what are you doing in my car?"

"Look I'm not here to cuss you out or anything. I'm just making sure that you're straight. You know we were worried about you? And I'm sorry about the Mari situation you know I didn't intentional mean to hurt you. I know you want your space and even though I don't want to, I'm gon leave you alone. But just know that no matter what we love you and we'll always be there for you when you need us, aight?"

"I know" I said trying to refrain from crying. Although I was pissed at my brothers and father, it's no secret how much I love them. They are legit my best friends and I would put my life on the line for them. And Mac and I don't really have heart to heart talks so this right here was getting to me.
