JULIET'S POV:

The rest of the week went by rather quickly, Ed was all over the state doing shows but most nights he stayed at my house. Ever since our little interaction at the Grammy's, I made sure to be extra cautious when doing certain things. I put my clothes on in the bathroom after a shower instead of walking round in a towel. I wore tank tops when I worked out instead of sports bras. I didn't want to give Ed anything to see, and I wasn't sure why. He wasn't a pervert. He just was a bit more flirty lately which left my guard up. I just couldn't let myself get hurt.

As Sunday rolled around, I decided to make Ed's day as grand as possible. Or, at least what we considered grand. I woke up extra early to make him a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, blueberry muffin fruit and tea. It was a lot of food, but knowing Ed he'd eat it all. It was 7:30 by the time I was finished cooking, it was still early to wake Ed up, but I couldn't let the food get cold so I set everything on a tray and slowly and quietly walked down the hall and into his room. "Wake up birthday boy, " I said softly, creaking the door open. Ed only stirred, so this time I spoke a bit louder, "Ed it's time to get up sleepyhead." This time I received an unhappy groan and one eye squinting open looking at me.

When he saw the food he saw up and rubbed his eyes, "What's all this for?"

"It's your birthday, silly."

"Yeah? So?"

"I'm big into birthdays. I like to celebrate them with people. And you're here so why not breakfast? Hmm?" He chuckled and dug into the food, giving satisfied little noises every few bites or so.

"That was delicious, Jules. Thank you very much," Ed said, kissing me on the cheek after he'd finished his food. I grinned and he lingered a bit, looking as if he was going to kiss me in the lips, but soon his face was far away from mine, his eyes flashed with worry as if he had just crossed a line.

Unsure of what to do, I quickly got up off the bed and forced a smile, "We'll Eddy boy, we're still on for that... umm.... lunch date, right?" I said coughing a bit, trying to sound nonchalant.

Ed looked up at me, "Course Jules! Wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Good. Well get ready, I've got to finish wrapping your present, and then we can leave at twelve?" Ed nodded.

Before I knew it, noon had rolled around and Ed was lightly knocking on my bedroom door asking if I was ready to go. He was actually dressed up for himself at least. I had a nice navy blue polo shirt off that was tight to his arms, showing off his tattoo-clad biceps. He was wearing his usual dark wash jeans that hung low on his waist, along with his best up Nikes. I had actually felt a bit underdressed in my button up top and jeans with my black combat boots. It was a semi-nice outfit, but I knew Ed doesn't go around wearing polos for nothing. I barely ever saw him in anything besides his camp hoodie. I grabbed my purse and Ed's gift, which I handed to him before retaining my car-keys from the hook on the wall. "Em, Juliet? Should I open this now.. Or at the restaurant?" Ed asked me, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. He usually only did that when he was confused or nervous.

"Oh... either's fine by me. It's not that great of a gift, and if you don't like it let me know. I-I'll get you something else. You're a bit hard to buy for actually," I stuttered, ruffling my hair nervously.

"Relax, Jules. You've already outdone yourself with breakfast this morning. Plus I hadn't expected anything from you anyway. I mean you're the one letting me into your home and stuff. I'm sure whatever it is is amazing." Ed ripped open the package rather quickly, it was adorable. He reminded me of a little kid in that way. The paper was torn away to reveal an orange shoe box with a cardboard colored swoosh. He lifted the lid and took out a pair of navy and white Nike high-tops. They were quite similar to the ones he always wore but the bottoms were made of primary colored rubber blocks that resembled Lego pieces, and the swooshes looked like a Lego brick wall instead of plain white. I had gotten them from work after a long time of begging my boss and a hundred bucks. They were quite discounted as we had used them for a photo-shoot, but they just screamed Ed to me.

After a minute, Ed just stared at me, mouth slightly ajar. "What? D-do you not like them? I'm sorry I can get you something else-" I kept babbling on until Ed interrupted me.

"Juliet. These are sick! How did you even get these?"

"I-I got them through my work. Are you sure they're alright?"

"Of course! These are so great, I seriously dust expect anything from you Juliet. I love them," Ed said whilst taking off his scuffed up shoes and replacing them with the new ones.

"Fit like a gem. How'd you know my size?" He smirked.

"Google," I simply said. Ed chuckled and kissed me on the cheek for the second time that morning. I couldn't help but blush and I saw the red on his pale cheeks as well.

I cleared my throat, "So shall we get going to lunch then?" Ed nodded and took my hand and lead me out to my car.

A/N I'm so so sorry for not updating in so long! I had several chapters lined up and then they were all completely deleted and I had to start over. I'll try to update a whole lot more often
