Chapter 17

Chapter 17: two is couple three is a Crowd
Rachel couldn't bare it . She didn't want to leave Adam like that but what could she do ? She has to help him move on ! But how do you help someone who won't let go of the past or the present ? She said her goodbye till tomorrow and with a heavy heart walked home .
School was a blur .

" Adam ? Are you here?" She shouted .
" over here . Adam shouted . She ran to the backyard and found Adam trying to destroy the ring . " I can't break this damn ring."
" let me look at this stupid thing," She said .
" it not stupid , just damn unlucky ." Adam said handing the ring over to Rachel .
She examined the ring the diamond shimmered in the sun and the gold brand was tinted with dirt. A engraving read " my heart will always be yours ." There was no dent or fracture on it . " what did you try ?"
" everything from saw to hammer." Adam answered .
"Maybe it's magical or something . Can I try something ? "
"Why not ?" Adam said
She placed it on her ring . It felt right on her finger like it was meant for her and not for Angel . She didn't think it would break or destroy it but something deep inside of her  told her to put it on . "It's beautiful."
"Take it off!" Adam yelled . Something in his eyes changed . The light in the core was gone now replaced with something dark and dangerous . Rachel sensed it but she felt something screaming at her .
" why it's too beautiful?" Rachel said .
" take it off now ! We need to find a way to destroy it !" Adam barked.
" Gonna have to caught me !" Rachel said running into the house .
" Rachel this isn't funny." Adam yelled .
He ran after her . In the house she hid . She could hear him yelling her name but she sat in the darkness of one of the closest in a bedroom.
" playing hide and seek like a toddler ." Laughed Angel .
" Thought you would come, by yourself I hope ." Rachel whispered .
" Judias doesn't have time to baby sit ." Angel hissed . " so I see you have the ring ."
" Yeah, I do but I know you won't take it ." Rachel whispered .
" really why's that?" Angel said.
" because deep down I know you love him , you just don't want to admit because you know you made a terrible mistake ." Rachel whispered .
" you don't know me . " Angel replied.
" fine take it then ," She places pulls the ring off and dangles it in front of Angel .
" It's to easy, " Angel doesn't take the ring instead she says , " ...to just take his love but I can't , he need to move on for both our stacks . Rachel tell him I'm sorry ."
" there you are !" Adam shouted. He takes the ring from Rachel . "What was that all about ?"
"I'm sorry ," Rachel said . she knew now what she must do but could she take her own heart and shatter it ! She has to for everyone and it's going to hell . She going to have to let him go because threes a crowd and two is a couple  . She needs to show him how much Angel is trapped inside this house .
