Chapter 15: The Dream

"You still haven't told me where we are going." Rachel stated. Adam had lead her through a forest of overgrown bushes and ivy .

"We're almost there ," Adam remarked. Rachel had noticed that Adam seemed quite tense with every step he took. She wanted to say something ;but what could she say him to ease his pain .

"Adam ? Please tell where we are going ?" Rachel asked

" Too the place where I died ." Adam said sullenly . His eyes went dark . " Over there in that shack,"

"But I thought you died in your house " Rachel said confused.

He gave a little smile," this sort of death is not short and sweet it's betraying , and heart-wrenching , a death That's never ending ," he stated.

The shack looked as if it could easy fall to rubble with the slightest touch. Vines and ivy grew so wide that they seemed to be the only support. Adam careful opened to shack . Inside was large then expected . There was two small rooms.

"Sit ." Adam exclaimed . "Close your eyes please ," Rachel did as she was told, " hope this works."

" what are we doing ?" Rachel asked.

" you see ," Adam closed his eyes a visualize the last moment of betrayal

"Open them,".

"Adam I dont un..." Rachel stopped in mid-sentence as she looked around the room. It was clean, the wallpaper was a clear white . "Adam?" Rachel looked around but Adam was gone.

" what do you want me to do ?" Adam pleaded . His voice seemed to be coming from the other room.

" Adam I just think its time for me to move on ," Angel's vinegar voice rang out.The floor creaked as Angel's heels scrapped the floor as she walked into the room. Rachel sat petrified , but Angel seemed to not see her. Adam walked in after her . Rachel became more relaxed and went up to him.

"Adam? What's going on?" She asked .His eyes went straight through hers. "Adam?" Scared she touched his arm but her skin went right through his . "What the hell?" She stood baffled as she watched this scene .

"If its the ring , we can get another one . Angel , I know I am not rich or handsome but your the only one . Please I don't understand . I treat you well. I love you with all my heart ." Adam pleaded. His voice breaking into sobs.

" Adam please, this is for the best, I meet someone else. Someone who will give me everything I need ." Angel remarked.

"Who ? Please tell who ?" Adam asked.

"Judas Wilson,he's got power and money you are just a dirty mechanic ," Angel explained. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "That must be him now, he's quite pissed."

"Rachel?" Adam voice woke Rachel from her dream.

"Wait,what happened next ?" Rachel asked.

"Don't remember," Adam stated.

"Adam . I'm sorry . You didn't derserve that ," Rachel said with a small smile.

" Don't be , I was foolish, I was and still am only sixteen , how could I have been in love with her when I didn't know what love was ?"

"What do you mean?" Rachel asked.

Adam smiled , " I mean that I spent years in that old house full of painful memories . I tried to understand what I did to make her do what she had done to me in this shack . Now I know, that I never stopped her . I let her in easily . I let her wrap her tentacles around . I let her slip through my arms " he let Rachel ingested what he said .

"Then you came , that day my heart beat for the first since she had frozen it in this shack. I was petrified . I tried to let you go but I just couldn't ." He moved closer to her until her lips were only centimeters away . " I was afraid that you couldn't love a boy without a heart beat ."

" who says you don't have one? I know many alive boys who don't have one" Rachel remarked as she touched his chest and leaned in. Her lips find his . His lips were rough and gentle, sweet and sour . She kissed him again.

" Rachel I love you, it took me forever to realize it but i do ," Adam remarked . "I didn't want to give you this , because I know if I did you would do what's right ." He gave a sad smile and opened his pocket to relieve a small golden ring with a small diamond in the center .

"Is that the ring ?" Rachel asked.

"It sure is sweet heart ," A low familiar voice echoed. A shadow raced into the room a snatched the ring from Adam's hand " So grateful you find it , Adam . Angel been up my ass to get it !" The voice remarked into the room. A large man with short black hair stood at the doorway. " this must be lovely Rachel." He disappeared and appeared holding Rachel around her hips , tilting her chin towards Adam " Your a site for sore eyes, beautiful. Isn't she just a beautiful little creature Adam?"

"Let her go , Judas," Adam remarked .
