Chapter 23: a sad farewell.

A Week later Rachel went to the house to try to find what she lost. The house stood still, the bulldozer parked in the back. Tomorrow they were going to finally tear it down after a week of investigating the area for anything the police  could find to explain two kids beat to near death and nothing showed up. They allowed the plan to restart.

Rachel sat a bench. The house was falling to pieces. She wondered how pretty it must have looked. How many people lived in that house. What secrets it held in the past.

"You finally show up," A voice familar to Rachel but from where she didn't know. "You look so much better." The boy with bright blue eye and dark hair sat down on the bench. "Thank god their tearing this down. Did you know their was murder in this house?"

"No I.." Rachel started but couldn't. The boy stopped her.

He brought his lips to her cheek and whispered, "Thank you for being my light in my darkness, goodbye Rachel."

"Adam?" Rachel whispered. Where did that name come from?
