Chapter 13

Junpei's POV

I stood up and took my bag.

"Dude, you still pissed?" Minato asked. Well, no.

"Yeah, I guess" I said

"You need to talk to Minako. She's begging me to go and ask you if you're still angry." He said. We boarded to the train.

I'm not angry at her. I'm just... broken. I know that I'm the one who pushed her to Akihiko-senpai. But, that's when I started to like her. I want to be her boyfriend. I'm happy for them.

"Jem! I heard that Minako and Akihiko had a fight because of that Junpei!" I heard a girl

"Shhhhh! Someone might hear you" the girl with her said. My eyes widened.

I approached them, but Minato grabbed my arm.

"Don't. You'd better talk to them." Minato said. I nodded.

We arrived at the school.

"Minato!" Kenji ran towards us. He's catching his breathe.

"Dude? What's going on?"

"Its Mina! She punched Akihiko-senpai. Then all those girls slapped her and punched her." He said. "Akihiko-senpai brought Mina in the clinic"

"C'mon!" Minato said. I nodded and ran to the clinic.

We opened the door and saw Mina lying on the bed. Akihiko-senpai is sitting beside her. His left eye was patched up.

"How's she?" Minato asked.

"She's sleeping. She didn't fought back when those girls slapped and punched her. I pulled her out but she became unconscious when I did." Aki said.

"Let's bring her to the hospital." Akihiko said. Yukari came in.

"I called Mitsuru-senpai. She called the ambulance." She said. She looked at me

"Junpei." I nodded.

"The ambulance is here." Mitsuru entered. "Go ahead. I'll talk to all those girls who did that to her."

Akihiko-senpai nodded and picked Mina up.

"C'mon Junpei." Minato said.

"Yeah, I'll catch up with you guys. I'll come with Mitsuru-senpai." I said and followed Mitsuru.

"Mitsuru-senpai!" I called.

"Junpei? Why are you here?" The girls looked at me.

"I'm sorry, but I need to say these words to all of you" I said. "Please stop bitching my bestfriend Minako. She didn't do anything to any of you, has she? For all I know, she didn't do anything to anyone! Y'all need to wake up! Akihiko-senpai will always look at Minako and Minako only. So please stop doing things to Minako. Please say sorry to her" I said.

"Junpei" I heard Mitsuru-senpai. "Alright, all of you come to my office. We all have to talk about what happened back there." She said

"I'm sorry, Mitsuru-senpai." I said.

"Thank you. Now please go and follow Akihiko and the others. Tell them I'll be there in a minute." She said. I nodded and ran to the hospital.

"How's she?" I asked

"She's still out" Minato said. I saw Akihiko-senpai sleeping on the chair holding Minako's hand.

"What happened?" Yukari asked.

"Well, I just talked to all of those girls."

"What did ya' say?"

"Well, I said.... stop bitching my bestfriend or else they'll die." I joked. They laughed.

Akihiko-senpai woke up and looked at Minako.

"Sup' Junpei?"

"You okay, Senpai?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll live."

"Nice" I said. He smiled at me. "Sorry" I said

"For what?"

"For... confessing when I know you and Minako started dating. I know I'm too late, but.... I won't push myself to her. She chose you and I respect that. Sorry for telling all of this."

"Thank you for being honest, Junpei." He said. Minako moved her head and opened her eyes

"W-What.. am I?" She spoked

"Lay down, Mina. You still need to rest" Aki-senpai said.

"Yeah, worry about nothing. Dude! You weren't supposed to get beaten up that easily!" I said.

"Junpei..." she looked at me. I smiled at her and thumbs up.

"They need a time alone." Akihiko-senpai said. Mina looked at him and Aki-senpai kissed Mina on the forehead. "C'mon, Minato, Yukari" they got out of the room

Silence surrounded the room.

"S-Sorry..." I started

"N-No! Don't be. I was the one who is sorry"

"I should be the one! Because if I hadn't confessed to you, you wouldn't be so upset and then punch the most popular guy in school and get beaten up by a bunch of fan girls and you wouldn't end up here" I said rubbing my neck in guilt

She chuckled "Junpei, I'm sorry. You have to be in so much pain. If I and Aki weren't..."

"Don't say such things. You don't need to respind to my confession. I just wanted to tell you that I liked you, that's all. You need not to be sorry" I said.

"Thank you" She said. She grabbed my hand.

"Friends?" I asked

"Nope" she said "Best. Bestfriends"

"Bestfriends." I said and we hugged each other even though its really awkward. But its nice

"You guys can go in now" Mina said.

They entered with a huge smile on their faces.

"What?" I said.

"Oh, nothing. Sooo???"

"So? What?"

"What happen?"

"We made up. And we're bestfriends again" I cheerfully said

"That's great!"

*Ring ring!*
Aki's phone rang

"Its Mitsuru" he said. "Please excuse me" he said.

We waited for a few minutes and then "We need to go back to the dorm. The chairman is calling for us" we all nodded.

"I'll come to!" Mina said.

"But--" Akihiko-senpai was cut by Mina

"Please. I can stand, Aki" she said. We escaped the hospital by going out on the window.
