Minato's POV

"So Minako and Akihiko, huh?" Junpei asked.

"Yeah..." I said and ate my ramen. I don't really care if they're together. I mean, Akihiko-senpai and Mina suits each other! And I'm not a bad twin to ruin their romance.

"Man, I never even had a chance!" Junpei slammed the table and caught the customer's attention.

"What?" I asked. He looked at me

"Oh, Crap"

"Wait... do you like my sister?" I asked him. He blushed and looked away and said "no"

"I used to... But she's happy with Akihiko-senpai. And I'm happy for them. I mean, they suit each other!"

"Dude.. you should've said it to me! I might help you!"

"Yeah, you might. Remember when you saw me with her? You acted like you're gonna kill me dude! LITERALLY!"

"Yeah." I laughed.

He sighed "I won't have a chance anyway."

"Aw, dude! There are millions of girls out there!"

"Pfft. Like I'd find someone as cool as your sister."

"Stop the drama! Just eat the ramen! Oh, and try to talk to Mina when we go back."

"Sure"

IWATODAI DORM

"Hey bro! Welcome home! Junpei! Welcome home!" Minako greeted. I saw Akihiko-senpai beside her.

"Mina decided to go to Tartarus" Mitsuru said

"Sure, I'll prepare my equipments" I said

"Yo! Junpei! Come with me!" I called Junpei who looked rather sad.

"Dude! I won't come with Mina inside Tartarus. As well as Yukari. She has practice"

"Bro! Let's go!" Mina shouted

"But dude! I'm not strong enough! I can't protect her!"

"Don't be silly! Now come on!" I said as we go down.

Tartarus 1F Entrance

Minako's POV

Akihiko-senpai still needs to rest because of his wound.

"Be careful, Mina" Akihiko-senpai said. I blushed

"Bro, you coming?"

"Nah.. I'm really worn out." He said.

I looked at Junpei and smiled at him

"That leaves you and me! Come on!"

"Y-Yeah.." he said. He followed me.

We entered Tartarus. It was full of monstrous screams.

"Mina" Junpei called. He gulped as I stopped and looked at him

"M-Mitsuru-senpai? Please don't let anyone hear my voice" He said.

"Sure"

He breathed out and then "Look, I really need to let you know this"

"Junpei, its really not the time for--" I was cut off by a shadow.

"LOOK OUT! ITS A POWERFUL SHADOW!" Mitsuru warned. Junpei sat there, cursing

"Orpheus!" I called. Orpheus came out. I defeated the shadow and came towards Junpei.

"Look, let's go back" I said.

"No. I need to tell you that I-...I like you Mina" he confessed. My expression was plain. I didn't feel nauxious... I just giggled at him.

"What?"

"Yeah, its funny. But hey! Don't mind me! I can move on you know! Ha!"

That moment I feel like he's hurt. I feel bad about it... like its my fault. Well, its his fault for not telling me how he feels about me!

"W-Why didn't you told me?" I said.

"Because I know that you wouldn't like me back! If I told you, would you like me back?" He answered. I was out of words. Would I like him back?

"I-I don't know. But I like you as my friend, Junpei! You were always there for me so please... don't hate me" I begged

"That's the point! I'm always there for you! But...." he sighed "Just forget it. I'm going back"

"Mitsuru-senpai.... I'm tired." He said.

"Junpei, I--"

"Drop it, Mina. I don't want to talk to you" he said.

"...okay" Mitsuru-senpai said. He accessed the access point and we transported back to the entrance.

"..." the atmosphere was heavy. Junpei looked really pissed off.

"L-Let's go back" I said. Akihiko stood beside me.

"What happned back there? Were you two hurt?"

"No, I just..."

"Don't cry" he said. I'm crying? Why am I crying? Is it because I rejected Junpei or is it that I just lost a great friend of mine.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't know that he liked me, I didn't know that he loved me... I hurted him, Aki... I hurted my bestfriend and now he's gone"
I felt Akihiko's strong and firm arms embrassing my thin body.

"Stop crying. None of this is your fault. I'll try to talk to Junpei." He said. I'd like to see him try. I know Junpei. He's not just gonna 'talk things out'

"H-He's not that easy to talk to. L-Let's just leave him alone."

"W-What! B-Bu--"

"He's my bestfriend, Aki. I don't want to bother him"

"Okay, but if you're gonna talk to him, just let me know."

I wish I could talk to him.
